Every box contain a colored scenery element, to let you create a perfect gaming environment on your table.
The miniatures are realised by both traditional or 3D sculpting, they are of extraordinary quality. Design aim was offering the maximum realism on the table as well as making the miniatures easy to paint.
Kickstarter plan will contain more factions than those included in the basic offer, and improvements consisting in support units and vehicles.
OmegaWar is a miniatures game based on Platoon.
Platoon are composed by several units, a few vehicles and an Officer that lead it.
Squads are composed by soldiers, specialists and leaders.
Soldiers are the bulk of every unit.
Specialists normally increase the unit firepower or give some others unique special abilities.
Leader have leadership skill that increase the morale of their unit. There are different types of units for every faction, each one with their own fighting skill. So you can play with the same miniatures in a lots of different way.
Vehicles complete the Platoon offering protection to the infantry with an increased mobility and firepower. To control the natural players vehicles spamming, when you listing your Platoon, is important to take into account the resources availability. In a devastated world, were resource are few, it is not always possible to dispose of every type of military assets.
Every faction have their own style of fighting, unique troops and equipment, that reflecting their traditions, history and philosophy.
Omega War is a game in which players alternate by activating one unit each.
Each unit that is activated in general can execute two different orders in the desired sequence (for example your active unit can move and shot, shot and then move or aim and shot, or shot and then go to ground). There are so many types of orders, they can reflect the tactical choice that every unit can make in a battle.
Officers can use additional peculiar orders that reflecting their skill to lead and control the troops in battle. In order to win the players must holding the mission randomly chosen before the set up.
Every player after the rolling for the main mission, can chose to use secondary missions. Also this one are randomly selected before the start of the game.
Each player can chose to use it or not. Secondary mission contribute to reach the victory if you achieved it and loss if you fail.Every Megacorporation will have a specially armory, where the Officers can purchases special or experimental equipment, that can improve their fighting and leadership skills.
For example the “soldiers” of EX.O.Vault can be used as Okame, Shigarau or Koriuky. This arrangement allow you to use the same model in different way, ensuring greater longevity to your games.
We wil produce the miniatures in a Italian factory, which allows us to have more control over the quality and the production process in a direct manner, and we can deliver a finished product with high quality details.
We want to keep the production cost under control, so we don’t need to invest in expensive tooling for plastic casting, allowing us to significantly reduce our funding goal. This means that anything over the funding goal will unlock more stretch goals that give our backers more options for physical rewards.
Shipping
As worldwide shipping costs can vary considerably, and we are unable to predict what your pledge reward selections will be and therefore the weight of your package, we are not including an international shipping fee in the project levels. However, please be aware that you will be responsible for any shipping charges before we can send your package to you.
Here you can see estimated rates by region. We will calculate the shipping cost at the end of the campaign and we’ll send it to you to validate. Note that shipping costs are paid for each pledge level you take, and are not increased by the amount of add-ons selected.
Risks and challenges
Risks and challenges
We have already realized the biggest part of the prototypes so the risks are really low.
We could encounter
• unexpected production issues in factory.
• Additional work related to the stretch goals.
• Timely release.
All components shown may suffer variations during production in order to adjust and optimize the production.
Unexpected problems affect us all, but we are part of our close-located production area network, so we can very quickly monitor the production to be efficient and avoid delays.
It is impossible to predict how many of our stretch goals will be funded.
Work has already started on some goals, so the first ones are not expected to extend any delivery deadline.
However, a large list of stretch goals will generate extra work that may take some extra time to complete.Questions about this project? Check out the FAQ

@Lighteater:
