Sarissa: Russische Gebäude

Our Russian windmill is of an early post-based design where the barn section at the top rotates around a central post moving the sails into the best place to catch the wind.  Needing to rotate it was constructed to be very light housing only the windmill mechanism and because of this, it was unlikely to be used to store grain or flour.

Derived from small country houses given away as gifts by the tsar, the Russian dacha is a seasonal or year-round second home. Widespread throughout former Soviet Union countries, this kit would be perfect for WWII, Cold War and modern gaming tables or dioramas with an Eastern European setting.
