Salute; next plastics revealed!

We had a great Salute. Many thanks to Steve and his son George for their help behind the stand. It was lovely, as always, to meet customers ‚in the flesh‘, so to speak. We released the WW2 US Infantry there, so Monday morning pre-order will start to go out. We also had ‚3up’s‘ for the next plastics on view.

‘3up’ for plastic Napoleonic French Line Infantry 1807-14

These are resins of the original ‘3 up’ masters’ for two boxed sets of mid-war French Line Infantry all represented in the long tailed coats; the classic look. All the figures are in overalls. Although designed as French Line Infantry, they could be painted as Swiss, Italian, Spanish in French service, Hanoverian Legion etc.
The main ‘battalion’ boxed set will consist of a 36 figure unit with fusiliers and both flank companies plus command with the option of either marching or attacking poses for all. In this set there will also be 8 voltigeurs (yes, 2 extra which could be used as additional NCO’s) skirmishing. So that’s 44 figures in this set.

A second boxed set, which will come out close to the first one, will contain mostly the voltigeur frames plus a command frame. Although designed as voltigeurs these could be painted as grenadiers too.

As you can see the long coat tails are attached to the knapsack to give a full 3D effect and movement to the figures.
