Joan of Arc: Zukunftspläne
Mythic Games haben einige Pläne zur Zukunft von Joan of Arc veröffentlicht.
The journey since the launch of the Time of Legends: Joan of Arc campaign on October 10th 2017 has been exciting, challenging and deeply rewarding for the entire Mythic Games team. The support of our backers throughout this journey has been truly incredible and we are so thankful to have such a committed and engaging community for this project.
We fully intend to support Joan of Arc into the future and we sincerely want the game to be something that all backers can be proud to own. While we do believe that Joan of Arc has been well received by the vast majority of the 11,287 backers who supported the campaign or late pledged, we know that there is more to do to improve further and we are completely committed to making that happen.
I wanted to take a moment to share with you all the things that have been done already since the Wave 1 deliveries began, developments that we are currently working on and give some insight into what is still to come in the future of Time of Legends: Joan of Arc.
What has been done so far?
Pledges Shipped
We are very happy to say that all Wave 1 pledges are either delivered or en route to backers. We will continue to update the shipping details through KS updates and if you have any concerns we are always best contacted via support@mythicgames.net.
Wave 2 packing has begun and two ships are already being loaded with containers of pledges. We learned a lot from Wave 1 picking, packing and shipping and have spent the last 3 months working closely with logistics partners to improve the processes. The delivery of everyone’s pledges continues to be our number one priority.

Component Corrections
Upon delivery to backers, we found that each Reliquary Box was missing 3 Standard Bearer and 3 Musician miniatures. Additionally, thanks to the feedback from players we found 6 Character cards and 8 Troop cards with powers or wording that wasn’t clear enough.
New components will be sent to all backers!
We reacted as quickly as we could to immediately produce more of the missing miniatures and amend and reprint the unclear cards. I am very happy to say that all of these items will ship with Wave 2 pledges and will be added to any items you had already on the way. If you do not have any Wave 2 items then they will be shipped to you directly on their own.
Online Updates
We’ve updated a number of files since Wave 1 began delivery. While generally, the majority of scenarios have worked as intended we have seen some which had confusing setups or just did not give the player experience we wanted. So far we have revisited three scenarios:
- Core Box – The Battle of Crécy
- Core Box – The Battle of Patay
- Reliquary Box – Bloodthirst
I’m also happy to announce in this update that we have the newly designed Saint Michael and the Dragon scenario! We have made the special rules clearer and tweaked the Victory Conditions to give the Unholy Army player some more interesting choices.
Click to download the “Saint Michael and the Dragon” scenario.
We have also prepared a new Components List for Wave 1, a FAQ PDF and an Errata PDF. It is our intention to continue adding to these files to ensure all players have support in place to guarantee they can have fun with Joan of Arc. We will continue to add updated files to our website’s download section as we make changes.
There is also more information below on the future support of the Core Rules and Scenarios.
Visit www.mythicgames.net for the latest updates.
Battle Mode
The initial Battle Mode rules, army lists and maps are live on the Mythic Games website and we have seen lots of posts from backers sharing battle reports and army lists on our community pages. The introduction of Battle Mode specific rules such as Morale and Routing, plus the addition of new Objectives have gone down really well and the supporting Army Sheets are working nicely.
We have more plans for the future of the Battle Mode which I’ll share now.
What is still to do for backers?
Battle Mode
We have several updates planned for the Battle Mode in the coming months!
Firstly, we want to add more options for backers who picked up the Maiden Pledge or Wave 1 items only. This update will see Dracula’s army introduced, plus some more mixed armies with the Holy and Unholy combining with tactical units.
It’s about time Dracula got an army worthy of his epicness.
With the arrival of Wave 2, we’ll be introducing more armies which will see a fully fleshed out Ottoman Army List, an Apocalyptic Army and more!
I have also seen requests for a complete list of every unit in the game with a points cost so those players wishing to build completely unrestricted armies can do so. This is something we are very happy to support and we will share these points costs with all backers as soon as they are ready.
Online Scenarios
During the Kickstarter campaign, we pledged to you all that we would provide more new online scenarios after the game arrived with backers. We are actively working on several new scenarios to add to our pool of online content including:
- A new Legendary Dragon Scenario – Co-operative – 2 or 3 players
- A new Unleash Hell Scenario – Solo or Co-operative – 1 or 2 players
- A new Core Box Plague Scenario – Solo – 1 player
We will also have new scenarios for the Beast from the Reliquary Box, the Leviathan from the Apocalypse box and we plan to explore historical events including the Battle of Stirling, Battle of Baugé, Battle of Nicopolis and the Siege of Castillon.
The Beast will get to spread its wings!
Joan of Arc Scenario Creator
I am very happy to say that the digital Joan of Arc Scenario Creator is currently in testing with our partners at Asmodee Digital and we will have more to share on this in the coming weeks. It will be available to all backers for FREE and will be usable on Windows or Mac operating systems in French initially and with English to follow soon after.
Sneak Peek – Make your own scenarios from scratch with JoA contents.
The tool gives you the ability to freely build your own maps using the tiles and components found in Joan of Arc. You also have fully rendered versions of the units found in the game to inspect and create your own deployment and setups.
Sneak Peek – Add troops and their cards to create your personal scenario.
Users will be able to add all the details associated with Joan of Arc scenarios including titles, descriptions, special rules, round cards, starting resources and more. Once complete you’ll be able to export your scenario in a printer friendly format!
I am genuinely looking forward to seeing what scenarios our community create and then sharing them with you all.
What’s still to come?Scenario Collection
As mentioned above we have reworked some scenarios where we found particularly strong feedback from backers. We also do plan to take time to reassess every scenario and whether they need any changes or not, we are going to collate them all into a Scenario Collection PDF and make this available as a FREE online file for all players to use. By the final count, we will have a document with over 50 scenarios that cover the entire Time of Legends: Joan of Arc range.
Bringing together all of the Time of Legends: Joan of Arc scenarios for the first time!
It’s important to note that you will still need the components (cards and miniatures) found in each expansion box to play the related scenarios.
Deluxe Storage Box
We have also been paying attention to the feedback from backers who have been working on storage solutions for the game. We recognise that Joan of Arc is a truly massive game in terms of the number of components used and the range of miniatures in the Core Box and stretch goals alone. We are currently working on a Deluxe Storage Box solution that we will make available in the future and offer players a way to better organise their games!
Collaboration Announcement
Some of you may have seen that we have been teasing some images on social media ahead of Gen Con 2019 which feature both the Mythic Games logo and the Lucky Duck Games logo.
Well, I am incredibly excited to announce to you all for the first time, that Time of Legends: Destinies will be a licensed game developed and published by Lucky Duck Games and set in the world of Time of Legends: Joan of Arc!
It is time to face your destiny!
It will be the first in a series of games from Lucky Duck Games which will all use a brand-new system called Destinies.
The Destinies system offers a fully story-driven, app-supported, RPG-like board game experience, without the need for a game master. Each scenario depicts a part of a vivid world, full of dark stories, epic NPCs and mysteries to solve. Each player takes the role of a hero on a quest to fulfil their destiny. Each destiny is a final goal of the character and has at least two, completely different paths to victory composed of branching series of quests. Players compete with each other to push the world towards their own destiny.
The game uses an app and the Scan&Play technology to offer players a unique story-driven experience full of dynamic events, epic adventures, and an ever-changing game world. Each turn, players discover new parts of the world presented on tiles, explore them and pick one point of interest to visit. There they learn more about the story and make crucial choices of how they want to interact with people, creatures or situations faced there. The consequences of each choice are meaningful and often change the state of the world forever.
We’ll be supporting Lucky Duck Games in the coming months as they bring to life the world of Joan of Arc in an entirely new way.
The Time of Legends is just Beginning
As I mentioned at the start of this update, we at Mythic Games fully intend to support Time of Legends: Joan of Arc for many years to come, so with that being said, I am EVEN MORE excited to share with you, the first image of something we are working on that will expand Time of Legends: Joan of Arc!
Where do you think the Time of Legends will go next?
All I can say for now is that both existing backers and new players of Time of Legends: Joan of Arc will have a reason to get excited very soon. To find out more, you’ll need to stay tuned for a second announcement coming next week!
Thank you everyone for your support, patience, enthusiasm, and energy over the past 20 months and for being just the most wonderful community in our own Good Place.

Sehr beruhigend, dass die fehlenden Figuren nachgeliefert werden! Und auch der Rest hört sich durch die Bank gut an. Ich freu mich!
