Hydrophilia
„Hydrophilia“ is a tabletop skirmish wargame with miniatures in 32mm scale, that takes you and your opponent to a dystopian alternative future inspired by classic cyberpunk and action films of the 80s and 90s.
The game is a confrontation between two small squads . Each player has a set of fighters with various weapons and skills. Players perform all possible actions with one miniature and pass the turn to the opponent. The mechanics of individual figures vaguely resemble modern remakes of X-Com or Shadowrun computer games. All fighters have action points that can be spent on movement, shooting, and various tactics unique to each fighter. The player who successfully completes the mission wins the game .
The mechanics are easy to learn, but have a high replayability, thanks to the variety of missions and various combinations of soldiers in the squadron, which, in addition, can be changed by amplifiers, giving unusual properties. This allows you to discover something new in the game again and again.
One standard game lasts 1 – 2 hours depending on players’ experience.There can be two or four players, but in the second case, most missions have to be played 2 on 2.
Currently, three factions are available: the forces of the Government, the criminal Syndicate and the Nishimura Corporation.

The Syndicate is an information network connecting criminals. It enables them to arrange meetings, make deals and hire right people to run all sorts of shady affairs. Adventurers of various skills flock to the network in search for easy money and some don’t even have a clue their daily activities are a part of someone’s bigger scheme. The Syndicate guarantees nothing whatsoever, but neither clients nor hired-hands will put their reputations at risk, because tomorrow they may become expendable by the terms of someone else’s contract.

Werde ich auf jeden Fall im Auge behalten. Das Genre verdient einen Skirmisher mit eigenen Miniaturen etc, wobei mich die Previews jetzt noch nicht direkt umhauen. Bin gespannt…
