In einer weit, weit entfernten Galaxie bringt Fantasy Flight Games Verstärkungen für die zweite Edition von Star Wars X-Wing, mit dem Mining Guild TIE, sowie Flieger und Conversion Kits für die Resistance und die First Order.
“Those TIEs have been modified. They’re not Imperial.”
–Sabine Wren, Star Wars: RebelsFantasy Flight Games is happy to announce the Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack as part of Wave II for X-Wing™ Second Edition!
Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack – 19,95 USD
The Mining Guild’s collaboration with the Empire gives it access to state-of-the-art Sienar Fleet Systems technology, including modified TIE/ln fighters. The removal of two solar panels reduces the craft’s power output in exchange for a much-needed boost to peripheral vision when weaving through treacherous asteroid fields.
Within the Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack, you’ll find everything you need to supplement your own mining operations and keep the profits flowing. Six ship cards—including four unique pilots—are ready to take the controls of the beautifully detailed, fully assembled Modified TIE/ln Fighter miniature. Meanwhile, five upgrade cards invite you to further customize your Mining Guild TIE to suit the unique needs of your Scum squadron. Rounding out this expansion are a maneuver dial and all the tokens you need to experience this classic starfighter in a whole new way.
The original TIE/ln design has served as the basis for countless variations serving many purposes, even those outside of Imperial demands. Thanks to their close collaboration with the Empire, the Mining Guild has access to state-of-the-art Sienar Fleet Systems technology, including their own version of this iconic starfighter. The result is a unique take on the TIE design, ideally suited for the Mining Guild’s operations and unlocking new tactical opportunities for your Scum and Villainy squadrons.

The Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack is set to debut alongside the first Resistance and First Order expansions with Wave II for X-Wing Second Edition in the fourth quarter of 2018. Read on for more information about what twists the Mining Guild TIE brings to your Scum squadrons!
Corporate Control
In the service of the Empire, the countless TIE variations have a single purpose: combat. From fighters that directly engage other starships to bombers that drop a variety of deadly devices throughout the engagement zone, the mass-produced TIE variants are designed to help the Empire dominate space in every aspect of battle. In the hands of a corporate entity like the Mining Guild, however, the TIE takes on a wholly different role.
Rather than launching offensive operations against Rebel targets and overwhelming them with wave after wave of ships, the Mining Guild cares more about protecting its own interests. These concerns carry over into the design of the guild’s version of the TIE. Most noticeably, Mining Guild TIEs have two panels removed from their stabilizers, granting a much-needed boost to their pilots’ peripheral vision when weaving through the treacherous asteroid fields where they normally operate. These Notched Stabilizers, built into every Mining Guild TIE, give these ships the useful ability to ignore asteroids while moving, letting them freely perform risky maneuvers without the threat of damage from these obstacles!
But this increased visibility comes at the cost of a reduced power output. As a result, the Mining Guild TIE loses some of the trademark speed that the ship is known for. While the ship can execute all the same maneuvers as its Imperial counterpart, the decrease in power means that pushing the ship to its farthest limits is a bit more difficult. To manage stress, then, Mining Guild pilots prefer to use the ship’s maneuverability to sharply cut between asteroids and gain a superior position on enemy ships.
Their ship might not boast quite the same performance as the Imperial version, but the corporate pilots who man the Mining Guild TIE are undoubtedly more creative when it comes to the strategies they employ in a dogfight. True to form, these Scum pilots deploy all manner of dirty tricks to put the opposing squadron at a disadvantage. For example, while he defends or performs an attack, Captain Seevor can force the enemy ship to take a jam token—so long as he has avoided being caught in their bullseye arc.
We’ll take a look at everything included in the Mining Guild TIE Expansion Pack in a future preview!

“We are the spark that’ll light the fire that’ll burn the First Order down.”
–Poe Dameron, Star Wars: The Last JediThe Empire may be gone, but its shadow still looms large across the galaxy. As X-Wing™ Second Edition ushers in a new era of starfighter combat in the Star Wars galaxy, the pilots of the Resistance aim to rekindle hope as they carry on the legacy of the Rebel Alliance. Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce four Resistance expansion packs of Wave II for X-Wing Second Edition!
- Resistance Conversion Kit
- T-70 X-Wing Expansion Pack
- RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack
- Resistance Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit
Resistance Conversion Kit – 29,95 USD
The Resistance is the only line of defense against the rising tide of the nefarious First Order. Like the Alliance to Restore the Republic before them, the pilots of the Resistance often find themselves outnumbered and outgunned. Fortunately, the Resistance has some of the most advanced starfighters from the entire Star Wars saga at their disposal. With the Resistance Conversion Kit, your First Edition versions of these ships can be added to your X-Wing Second Edition squadrons right away.
This kit contains everything you need to upgrade your Resistance ship collection from the First Edition to the Second Edition, including pilot cards, upgrade cards, and ship tokens. Amongst the new ship cards and tokens, you’ll find new versions of Resistance heroes like Poe Dameron and Rey, each ready to bring their unique abilities to your custom-built squadrons. These pilots are complemented by over one-hundred upgrade cards that you can use to customize your squadron to fit your play style. Finally, this conversion kit gives you plenty of options for rounding out your Resistance squadrons, containing enough maneuver dials to convert three Resistance Bombers, three YT-1300s, and four T-70 X-wing fighters.
T-70 X-Wing Expansion Pack – 19,95 USD
Upgraded for maximum tactical flexibility, the Incom-FreiTek T-70 X-wing can equip a wide variety of astromechs, weapons, and other customizations preferred by individual pilots. These heroes of the Resistance Starfighter Corps have used their X-wings to great effect in countless missions against the First Order.
In addition to the beautifully detailed, pre-painted miniature, the T-70 X-Wing Expansion Pack contains twelve ship cards, including nine unique pilots, six upgrade cards, and the tokens, base, pegs, and maneuver dial you need to grow your Resistance forces. Additionally, this expansion contains a few entirely new cards not seen in the first edition. These cards and associate punchboard are also included in the Resistance Conversion Kit for the benefit of veteran players.
RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack – 19,95 USD
The main interceptor of the Resistance, the RZ-2 A-wing by Kuat Systems Engineering is the natural evolution of its predecessor. With field-tested refinements integrated into its design such as incredible maneuverability, reversible laser cannons, and precision ordnance, mastering this craft is a challenge worthy of the greatest aces.
With six ship cards—including four unique pilots—and five upgrade cards, plus the maneuver dial and tokens included in this expansion pack, the RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack gives you everything you need to stand toe-to-toe with the First Order’s best!
Carry on the spark of the Rebellion and signal your dedication to protect freedom throughout the galaxy with the Resistance Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit.
During every game of X-Wing Second Edition, you and your opponent will secretly plot your ships’ movements on cardboard maneuver dials. The dial upgrade kit contains three plastic protectors that situate a ship’s dial within a secure housing, enhancing the aesthetics of your squadron and proudly displaying the colors of the Resistance. Not only does each dial clearly indicate that you fight for the freedom of the galaxy, they also include a space on the back to insert a dial ID token displaying a silhouette of the corresponding ship, making it easy to differentiate between your ships.
Carrying on the torch first lit by the Rebellion against the Empire, the Resistance remains ever vigilant in its fight to maintain peace throughout the galaxy. With these expansions, you’re invited to join a new generation of heroes and experience the intense space combat seen in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi from behind the controls of these upgraded versions of iconic ships.
Beginning in X-Wing Second Edition, the Resistance has been spun off from the Rebel Alliance into its own distinct faction and, if you’re a veteran X-Wing player with an existing collection of ships, the Resistance Conversion Kit will bring your T-70 X-wing, YT-1300, and Resistance Bomber ships into the second edition, giving you everything you need to build your own Resistance squadrons. Then, whether you’re a new player or a veteran, you’ll be able to grow your squadrons with two Resistance starfighter expansion packs, representing a new generation of pilots and ships in the ongoing Star Wars saga.

Continue the Fight

These pilots are complemented by over one-hundred upgrade cards that you can use to customize your squadron to fit your play style, including ten Tech upgrade cards only available to starfighters from this era. Finally, the conversion kit gives you plenty of options for rounding out your Resistance squadrons, containing enough maneuver dials to convert three Resistance Bombers, three YT-1300s, and four T-70 X-wing fighters.
In addition to being present in the Resistance Conversion Kit, all of these Resistance pilots, ships, and upgrades will be fully implemented in the X-Wing Second Edition squad-builder app when they are released. A PDF with the point values of all Resistance pilots and upgrades will also be available for reference on our website. New players can also use the conversion kit and first edition versions of Resistance ships for even more options when building their squads!
A New Generation of Starfighter
Carrying on the tradition set by ace Rebel pilots like Wedge Antilles, the heroes of the Resistance enter the fight against the First Order in the next evolution of the classic X-wing fighter. Upgraded in almost every conceivable way, the T-70 X-wing can equip a variety of astromechs, weapons, and other customizations preferred by individual pilots, making it an invaluable part of Resistance operations.
Already a flexible starfighter, the T-70 X-wing features even more versatility than its earlier incarnations. The ship’s built-in Weapon Hardpoint give it access to an unprecedented number of weapons, including cannons, torpedoes, and missiles. Meanwhile, just like the T-65 X-wing before it, the T-70 gives you the power to open and close its Integrated S-foils on the fly, offering even more options for maneuvering into the perfect position.
Besides its built-in capabilities, the T-70 X-Wing Expansion Pack features a full complement of twelve ship cards, including nine unique pilots who bring their own skills to your squadron. For example, Poe Dameron can take multiple actions in a single activation,
giving you more power to position your ship or modify your dice. If he’s got a Targeting Synchronizer equipped,
the benefits extend to his squadmates. In that case, friendly ships at Range 1–2 can ignore the lock requirement while attacking a target that Poe has locked.
We’ll take a look at all of the T-70 X-wing’s pilots, upgrades, and capabilities in much more detail in a future preview!
The Need for Speed
The second upcoming Resistance ship expansion marks a brand-new ship’s first entrance to the fast-paced dogfights of X-Wing. The main interceptor of the Resistance, the RZ-2 A-wing is the natural evolution of its predecessor used by the Rebel Alliance. With several field-tested refinements integrated into its design, the new generation of A-wing fighters boasts incredible maneuverability to go along with blazingly fast speed, which makes mastering this craft a challenge worthy of the greatest aces.
Resistance pilots are always looking for ways to push the RZ-2 to the limits of its performance, and much of the challenge of flying the ship in combat is keeping it safe. While the RZ-2 A-wing’s three defense dice and ability to evade incoming attacks make it a hard target to hit, its redesigned swivel mounts deter pursuers by allowing pilots to target enemies behind them. One of the ship’s many improvements over earlier models, these built-in Refined Gyrostabilizers provide the RZ-2 with a turret arc that can rotate exclusively between the front and back of the ship. This gives it some much needed flexibility in where it fires, but intrepid pilots must carefully choose where to direct their fire or miss out on opportunities elsewhere.
If its reversible cannons don’t provide enough of a defensive boon, the RZ-2 A-wing can always rely on the five upgrade cards included in the RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack for help. For example, the ship is already highly maneuverable, but adding some Primed Thrusters makes it even more so.
If you have two or fewer stress tokens, this tech upgrade allows you to quickly barrel roll or boost away from incoming fire, even while stressed.
With six ship cards—including four unique pilots—and five upgrade cards, plus the maneuver dial and tokens included in this expansion pack, the RZ-2 A-Wing Expansion Pack gives you everything you need to stand toe-to-toe with the First Order’s best!
We’ll take a closer look at everything included in this expansion in a future preview!
Defy Tyranny
Although the Resistance may share similar goals with the former Rebellion, it is still a separate entity and you can signal this difference with the Resistance Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit.
During every game of X-Wing Second Edition, you will secretly select the maneuvers for your ships on cardboard maneuver dials. In each maneuver dial upgrade kit, you’ll find three plastic protectors that enclose these maneuver dials in a secure housing while enhancing the aesthetics of your squadron and declaring your resistance to the First Order. Not only does every dial clearly indicate your defiant spirit, they also include a space on the back to insert one of the dial ID tokens included in the Resistance Conversion Kit. Each dial ID token displays the silhouette of the corresponding ship, making it even easier to differentiate between your ships.
Fan the Flames of Rebellion
The Resistance will continue the fight against tyranny and oppression no matter the cost. Expand your games of X-Wing Second Edition and stoke the fires of resistance!

“All remaining systems will bow to the First Order and remember this as the last day of the Republic!”
–General Hux, Star Wars: The Force AwakensRising from the ashes of the Galactic Empire, the First Order stands poised to usher in a new era of galactic dominance. Soon, its starfighters will enter the intense space battles of the Star Wars galaxy. Fantasy Flight Games is excited to announce three First Order expansions of Wave II for X-Wing™ Second Edition:
- First Order Conversion Kit
- TIE/fo Fighter Expansion Pack
- First Order Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit
First Order Conversion Kit – 29,95 USD
As you might expect from the successor to the Galactic Empire, the First Order fields a variety of starfighters based on classic Imperial designs. The First Order Conversion Kit makes your First Edition versions of these ships immediately available for use in your X-Wing Second Edition squadrons.
Within the First Order Conversion Kit, you’ll find everything you need to strike fear into the heart of the Resistance and take your squad into the future of X-Wing, including a wide variety of new ship cards and tokens, including some of the most celebrated pilots in the First Order, such as Major Stridan, “Backdraft,” and Kylo Ren himself. TIE/fo Fighter Expansion Pack – 19,95 USD
Developed using technologies pioneered for the Empire’s TIE Advanced program, the TIE/fo fighter is a shielded, mass-produced TIE fighter that the First Order can use to spread terror across the galaxy.
The TIE/fo Fighter Expansion Pack includes one fully assembled and beautifully painted miniature and all the ship cards, upgrade cards, and tokens you need to add one of these frightening fighters to your First Order squadrons. The strikingly detailed, pre-painted TIE/fo fighter miniature in this expansion is accompanied by twelve ship cards—including nine unique pilots—and five upgrades, giving you all the raw power you need to begin rebuilding the Empire.
First Order Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit – 9,95 USD
With the First Order poised to usher in a new era of galactic dominance, it’s time to display your loyalty. With the First Order Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit, you can move out of the Empire’s shadow and further customize your X-Wing Second Edition squadron.
These upgraded plastic maneuver dials signal your allegiance to the First Order while enhancing the aesthetic look of your squadron. As you secretly plot your maneuvers each round, these kits house a ship’s dial within a secure plastic housing. Additionally, the kits include a space on the back to insert a dial ID token, making it easy to differentiate between your ships in the middle of a game.
For too long, the First Order has been relegated to the far corners of the galaxy. But, with these expansion packs, you can join their fight and destroy those who embrace disorder. Following in the footsteps of the Empire, the First Order spreads terror in the form of mass-produced starfighters designed to overwhelm their opponents with sheer numbers.
In X-Wing Second Edition, the First Order is being introduced as its own unique faction separate from the Galactic Empire. Veteran X-Wing players will be able to use the cards, tokens, and maneuver dials found in the First Order Conversion Kit to bring their existing TIE/fo fighters, TIE/sf fighters, TIE/vn silencers, and Upsilon-class shuttles into X-Wing Second Edition. Meanwhile, veteran players looking to further expand their squadrons or new players prepared to start their own fleet can sow the seeds of terror by adding more of the First Order’s take on the infamous TIE fighter.

Crush the Resistance
As you might expect from the successor to the Galactic Empire, the First Order fields a variety of starfighters based on classic Imperial designs. Far from simply rehashing these older ships, though, First Order fighters feature a number of refinements that give them the edge in their fight against the loathsome Resistance. The First Order Conversion Kit makes your first edition versions of these ships immediately available for use in your X-Wing Second Edition squadrons.
Within the First Order Conversion Kit, you’ll find everything you need to strike fear into the heart of the Resistance and take your squad into the future of X-Wing, including a wide variety of new ship cards and tokens, more than one-hundred upgrade cards, and new maneuver dials for all of your First Order ships. The ship cards contained in this kit include some of the most celebrated pilots in the First Order, such as Major Stridan, “Backdraft,” and Kylo Ren himself.
Skilled as they may be, these vaunted pilots and their ships can always benefit from upgrades. Alongside the other upgrades included in the First Order Conversion Kit, you’ll also find ten Tech upgrade cards that can only be used on starfighters from this era. Finally, the conversion kit provides plenty of options for completing your squadrons, containing enough maneuver dials to convert seven TIE/fo fighters, five TIE/so fighters, three TIE/vn silencers, and three Upsilon-class shuttles to X-Wing Second Edition.
In addition to the being present in the First Order Conversion Kit, all of the First Order pilots, ships, and upgrades will be fully implemented in the X-Wing Second Edition squad-builder app when they are released. New players can also use the conversion kit and first edition versions of First Order ships for even more options when building their squads!
Terror Evolved
Although it may be a separate entity, the First Order has taken several cues directly from the former Empire. One of the most evident is the use of a new generation of the iconic TIE fighter. Developed using technologies pioneered for the Empire’s TIE Advanced program, the TIE/fo fighter is a shielded, mass-produced TIE fighter that the First Order can use to spread terror across the galaxy.
The addition of shields isn’t the only improvement made to the TIE design. TIE/fo fighters also boast the ability to acquire locks, giving their pilots the opportunity to reroll their attack dice for even more potent attacks. Some TIE/fo pilots go beyond this, using their target locks in new and creative ways. An ace like „Midnight“,
for example, prevents enemy ships that he has locked from modifying their dice while he defends or performs a primary attack against them.
Even with these refinements, TIE/fo fighters remain similar to their predecessors in that they are ideally suited for flying in large groups. A TIE/fo pilot such as „Muse“ supports her wingmates by helping them remove stress before they engage with enemy ships. Abilities like this one can certainly help TIE/fo pilots bring the fight to any enemy, but sometimes belief can be even more powerful than skill. Nearly all TIE/fo pilots can display a Fanatical devotion to the cause,
pressing the attack even when they are at their most vulnerable.
The TIE/fo Fighter Expansion Pack includes one fully assembled and beautifully painted miniature and all the ship cards, upgrade cards, and tokens you need to add one of these frightening fighters to your First Order squadrons. All the cards and punchboard included in the TIE/fo Fighter Expasion Pack will also be present in the First Order Conversion Kit for the benefit of veteran players. We’ll take a closer look at the contents of this expansion pack in a future preview!

LOL
