15th Century Irish
These are intended as ‚auxiliaries‘ for the Wars of the Roses although obviously they can be used for their own internal wars from about 1400 to the 1580’s as well as their occasional mercenary employment on the continent. Jasper Tudor’s army included a large proportion of Irish at the Battle of Mortimer’s Cross in 1461 and there was a possible 4,000 killed at the Battle of Stoke Field in 1487. Their style of clothing was distinctive, the full, long sleeved saffron coloured shirt (leine) and the short jackets with hanging sleeves don’t seemed to have changed until the end of the 16th century. Shields aren’t recorded being used during the Wars of the Roses period however they were used before and after so there are some included with the javelin armed kern. The Galloglass were also a little outdated in terms of arms and armour, still adhering to almost spangenhelm style helmets, long mail coats over red or white aketons and carrying large two handed axes. Scottish Highlanders for this period closely resembled the Irish in appearance including the liene, short jackets and with the upper classes looking identical to the Galloglass, which isn’t surprising. There’s no evidence of Irish cavalry being used in Britain during the Wars of the Roses but they will be made to complete an army for use in Ireland.

Die sehen wirklich nicht gut aus… ich mag die Perrys ja eigentlich gerne, aber nein
Für den unwahrscheinlichen Fall, dass ich Iren für den WotR brauchen würde, würde ich sie nehmen, die Auswahl ist nicht so groß auf den MArkt und es spricht schon für die Perrys, dass sie ihre Reihen vervollständigen.
Meiner Meinung nach werden die Jungs immer schlampiger, was dann durch ihren unterirdisch schlechten Gießer leider noch verschlimmert wird. Dabei können sie ja richtig gut kneten, daher vermute ich betriebswirtschaftliche Gründe.
Habe da eigentlich keine negativen Veränderungen an neueren Modellen im Vergleich zu älteren feststellen können. Mich nervt höchstens die Watte.
Sieh dir ihre alten Modelle bei Foundry an… Dann siehst du den Unterschied.
Mit Verlaub, nein. Ich finde nicht, dass die alten Foundry-Auflagen besser oder schlechter sind, als das, was die Perrys heute machen. Besonders bei den AWI-Modellen sehe ich eher die neuen Sachen vorne.

Danke für den Tipp, kannte den Hersteller bisher nicht.
Bin ja eigentlich ein großer Perry Fan, aber hier bin ich doch zwiegespalten. Einige Minis sehen gut aus aus, einige nicht. Vor allem die Posen sind teilweise sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ich hoffe mal sie überarbeiten das noch.
Ne sind so schon im Shop…denke die Aufnahmen sind nicht so gut gelungen…..zumindest hoffe ich das…so war es mit dem schweizer Kommando Figuren auch.
