Konflikt ’47: Neuheiten

Warlord Games haben wieder einige Neuheiten für Konflikt ’47 in ihrem Shop.

With the development of towed Tesla weapons within US Armoured Infantry units, the British government demanded immediate access to the design programme.

Conscious of the lack of heavy anti-tank firepower in the small, elite Galahad battalions, the Tesla AT gun was a natural solution.

Crewed by Galahad armoured crewmen, the gun could be pushed forward with the infantry where it could deliver both anti-tank and anti-personnel firepower. Production speeds are slow but Galahad formations are beginning to receive these highly effective and versatile weapon systems.

As Dresden’s Rift technology scientists looked to enhance the weaponry they were creating they trialed a towed Schwerefeld Projektor to look at its suitability in infantry formations.

Although it required a small generator trailer to make it independent of a larger powerpack or vehicle, the weapon was well received.

It has since been issued to several new heavy infantry regiments, replacing the older and heavier PaK 40 anti-tank guns. Entrusted to, and crewed by, the new elite Heavy Armoured Infantry, it has replaced some PaK 40 guns in many units as it is lighter, more compact and easier to manoeuvre.

With production of Rift technology Tesla cannons steadily increasing, the US Army looked at other ways of getting this battle-winning technology on the frontline. Engineers looked to place a full-sized cannon onto an anti-tank gun mount.

Trials proved successful with the weapon able to fire from its onboard generator, which could be recharged from the towing vehicle’s engine.

The towed tesla cannon was initially introduced to armoured infantry regiments and crewed by men in heavy armour. This reduced the need for a gun-shield thus lightening the weight of the gun, and allowed the gun to deploy further forward into the thick of the battle.

The Daughters of the Motherland have become a regular sight on Soviet newsreels and often feature on radio broadcasts. To maximise their media profile, a plan was developed to increase their presence on the battlefield and thereby bolster the (often low) morale of the average Soviet infantryman. Pairs of Daughters are attached to regular infantry platoons to provide a patriotic focal point for the fighting soldiers. To further encourage their acceptance amongst the common soldier, they carry both assault rifles and a new Soviet Rift-tech sonic shield generator that can deflect and disrupt incoming fire.
