This Kickstarter is to gain the funding to cast and produce ten unique sculpts of „The Devolved“ – humans slowly being changed into…things. I originally had four sculpts made (by Iain Colwell) a few years ago and called them „The Changed“. I had always wanted to continue with the de-evolution of them, and when I saw Alan Maguire’s sculpts on the Lead Adventure Forum I knew he could do them justice.

I purchased „The Maguire Mutation“ from him, and commissioned eight of the devolved sculpts. Also, he was kind enough to sculpt Mrs. Pickman for me (who is my favourite!) – who can tell me where the inspiration for her is from?

Please note that the Kickstarter is in Canadian funds (they will retail in USD), and the miniatures are discounted from what they will retail at. I have also included all of my back catalogue of miniatures at a discount, which can be added to your pledge. I will be using Backerkit as the pledge manager again, which I love using as it has pictures to see what you’re getting and is very easy to use.

The original changed miniatures are all 33mm to the top of the head, except for the schoolgirl who is 30mm). All of the Devolved sculpts are around the same height, but sometimes have tentacles and such protruding into the air so take that into account. They will all be cast in metal and will come with a 30mm lipped base.

PLEDGING:

You can only commit to one pledge at a time. If you would like other bundles or stretch goals just include enough to cover their cost and add it to your existing pledge. You will be able to choose other bundles and miniatures when you fill out your survey. I will be using Backerkit again for the surveys, like the last kickstarter. It is very easy to use and shows images of all the miniatures so it is easy to choose what you want.

POSTAGE:

Cost of shipping for: 1-5 miniatures: $5.00 to the USA and Canada, $7.50 to the rest of the world. 6+ miniatures: $10.00 for shipping in the USA and Canada, $13.00 for the rest of the world. Postage is charged automatically on the „Twisted & Transformed Mob“ and „Everything Devolved!“ pledges, as they have 6+ minis already. Postage will be added by you when you complete the pledge manager. Simply choose the right postage for the amount of miniatures you are pledging for. I will remind everyone repeatedly when we’re at that stage.

BACK-CATALOGUE:

Like the last kickstarter, all of my back catalogue of miniatures are available to purchase along with your pledge. All of them are pictured with a price – just add in the total cost of the miniatures you want to your pledge amount and pick them in the Backerkit selection process. All of my older miniatures are discounted just for this kickstarter, so pick them up at a good price!

Risks and challenges

I have run three successful Kickstarters in the past, and I don’t anticipate too many problems with this one either. The miniatures are already at the casters, and have a master mould made for them. All I will have to do is tell him to create a few production moulds and cast up the miniatures. I’m using the same caster I have been using for years, who also casts for the Perry brothers. I have set the end date as March 2019 for any unexpected events that may happen, but I should have all the miniatures delivered to you before then.
