As the eagle-eye will have spotted (yes, looking at you Willie (Andy sends hugs by the way)) we are releasing our next box set of plastic figures at the show – 12 armoured cavalrymen suitable as Late Romans or Early Byzantines. As always, this set is compatible with most parts from our existing plastic sets (especially heads…) enabling you to use these to make a whole host of different figures. £22, available to pick up at SALUTE or pre-order for general release by the end of April.

Please also note, any mail-orders containing this item will ship once we have the cavalry at the workshop – if you require the rest of the order sooner than that, please place two orders!This box contains all the parts to assemble 12 plastic cavalrymen plus bases suitable for the Swordpoint gaming system.
They can be used to represent later Roman or early Byzantine armoured cavalry.
Parts from this box are compatible with most parts from all our other box sets so you can do many, many conversions.

Ich frag mich nur, ob Victrix irgendwann auch noch späte Römer bringt… denn die wären vermutlich besser als die von Gripping Beast…
Naive Frage: Ich sehe keine offenen Hände, wie wird das mit dem Banner gelöst?
Und wer auch immer die Übersetzungen für die Inhaltsangabe durchgewunken hat, war betrunken. 😀

Wirkt irgendwie nicht zuende gedacht.
Da wird man in gewohnter Gripping beast Manier eine Hand aufbohren müssen…..
Jo, oder man kürzt einen Speer, aber beides ist für einen Plastikbausatz mit so viel Luft im Rahmen ein eher schwaches Bild. Das war bei den Römern zu Fuß besser gelöst.
Die Bausätze sind ja kompatibel, aber irgendwie wirkt es etwas halbherzig nach dem Motto „euch fällt schon was ein, ihr seid ja Bastler“… 😀

Das is der Grund weshalb ich bei historischen Spielen meist die Zinnminis bevorzuge!
Das Plastik wirkt immer erst mal attraktiv wegen des Preises, aber wenn ich dann drüber nachdenk, wieviel Zeit ich da ins Entgraten und den Zusammenbau stecke, sehen die Zinnminis plötzlich nicht mehr teuer aus!
Da kann man aber auch durchaus „barbarische“ Reiterei draus machen.
