Footsore: King Rædwald
Footsore haben gestern eine neue Miniatur veröffentlicht.
Rædwald is our Footsore Miniatures figure. The famous Sutton Hoo helmet that is widely believed to have belonged to the king proudly adorns our logo.
From around 616, Rædwald was the most powerful of the English kings south of the River Humber. According to Bede he was the fourth ruler to hold imperium over other southern Anglo-Saxon kingdoms: he was referred to in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, written centuries after his death, as a bretwalda (an Old English term meaning ‚Britain-ruler‘ or ‚wide-ruler‘).
A year ago when we had less than 2000 people liking and following this page. We promised that when we got to 3000 likes we would release a „Footsore miniature“ which would be the man in the Sutton Hoo helmet to match our logo. For one reason or another, we didn’t manage it and sailed past 3000 likes to where we are today, 4500!
The good news is here he finally is King Rædwald of East Anglia who will be released in about an hour with an RRP £5/$7. The even better news is as a thank you to our fantastic community for just being fantastic (and having to wait for him) we have created the code „SUTTONHOO„.
Enter this code during checkout and you will be able to buy him for £2/$3. This discount is valid until the end of March 2018 and you can use it as many times as you like because quite frankly we love you all!
