Cronus Mech – 1/300 – 15,00 GBP
One of our more popular models from way back when was the Cronus mech, a 1/300th scale behemoth. It’s been out of production for a while, the mould for the massive metal feet and legs wore out and we spent a while debating how we could improve those before remoulding.
In line with our policy of gradually updating many of our older models, the Cronus has been revisited and refined by the original designer, Zac Braham, and expertly rendered in 3D by Kirk Alderfer – the pairing also responsible for the design of our 6mm and 15mm Mercenary vehicles.
The new model has a resin body and feet with metal legs, arms and weapons (the missile pods are two-piece hollow castings so they aren’t excessively heavy). The arms have ball-and-socket joints at both ends and the hips, ankle and heel joints also have a degree of movement to allow some flexibility in posing the model. A cast resin base is also included – this is hexagonal, 50mm across flats. The model in the picture stands 60mm high excluding the base, although the height will vary very slightly depending on the exact posing.

Was macht das Königmonster bei den briten ?
Steht doch in der Beschreibung? Die erste Version wurde vor so 10+ Jahren (?) verkauft.
Wenn ich die erste Version in meinem Regal und den neuen Sculpt vergleiche, so wurde das Design komplett überarbeitet. Gefällt mir ganz gut.
Komisch, dass das Teil schon zehn Jahre alt ist und Harmony Gold die nicht verklagt hat. Oder es ist an mir vorbeigegangen…
Würde der denn von der Größe her mit dem Robotech tactics Spiel kompatibel sein?
Offiziell ist Tactics ebenfalls 1/285, aber da PB und Chef/Besitzer KS bei mir seit Jahren auf der Shit-Liste sind, kann ich keine realen Größenvergleiche anbieten.
Ergänzung: AFAIR galt HG Lizenz nur für den US-Markt, Brigade sitzt in UK.
Uff, da braucht man wohl die rosarote Nostalgiebrille, das Teil ist ja komplett unproportioniert und detailarm. Wenn das schon das Redesign ist, wie sah dann das Original aus?

Stellt Brigade Models eigentlich nur Figuren her oder haben sie auch Systeme für die sie produzieren?
Bis auf diese Dystopian Wars ähnlichen Sachen habe ich von denen noch nix gehört. Ich vermute zwar, dass es für manche Modelle auch Spielsysteme gibt, diese aber eher ein Nieschendasein fristen und man letztlich an den „kopierten“ Sachen verdient…
