Der zweite Basius-Kickstarter läuft.
The Basius Max collection is a DOUBLE SIDED series of large solid purple resin pads, full of jaw-dropping hand-sculpted negatively recessed texture. The pads measure 16cm x `16cm x 1.5cm.
Basius is a great way of sculpting your own unique miniature bases & scenery. Using your miniatures‘ plastic base and some green stuff (Kneedite Hobby Putty) it is easy to make fantastic sculpts like these!

How do I use BASIUS?
BASIUS is quick and easy to use – All you need is:
- some Green Stuff
- a squirty bottle with tap water in it
- a pair of hobby pliers
- an edged tool (we use a pound-shop clay sculpting tool)
Mix your Green Stuff into a ball, squirt water onto your pad, drop the Green stuff ball onto the pad and press onto it with your base, pull off the base using your pliers
Then either trim and shape your edge right away using any edged tool (you don’t need to use a sharp knife) or wait until it is dry to trim it.

How many people charge around on the tips of unbent grass blades and unpressed leaves when they have a battle in a field? How often would a real warrior stand on a bumpy or rocky area with only 1mm of his foot connecting with the floor, balancing like crazy whilst waving his gun and sword in the air? My guess is never – it just doesn’t happen… so why would you want to model your miniatures like that?

Eines der Pads kostet 30 Pfund, Billiger wird es erst ab 4 Stück, die gibt es dann für 100 Pfund. Die Kampagne ist finanziert und läuft noch 23 Tage.

Zugegeben, die Idee ist genial, aber 30 pfund pro Stück finde ich schon arg übertrieben.
Genau. Da kann ich für 90£ dann einige Basen kaufen. Drei bräuchte ich schon. Es ist am Ende halt auch nur eine Silikon form.
Find ich ein bisschen sehr teuer..da bleibe ich bei den Pins von greenstuffworld
Ich baue mir solche Matten selbst aus Silikon und kann dir versprechen das der Mann damit nicht reich wird. Du musst spezielle Materialen verwenden um bei dem Detailgrad und der geringen Druckfläche keine Abplatzer in den Platten zu bekommen. Ich habe aus diesem Grund Silikon genommen und kann dir sagen das alleine das Silikon 20€ ausmacht. Und da hast du noch keine Minute dran gearbeitet.
Auch auf die Gefahr hin, dass das in die Kategorie der Dinge fallen könnte, die in der Theorie super sind, in der Praxis aber nie verwendet werden, werde ich das Projekt wohl unterstützen. Nur die Entscheidung fällt schwer, welche Designs ich will.
Ich habe mir einige Platten bei einem der früheren Kickstarter geholt. Die funktionieren tatsächlich ganz gut, erreichen aber nicht den Detailgard einer Resinbase. Dafür kann man beleibig große Bases gestalten. Also eigentlich echt eine gute Sache…
Hast du mal versucht son Pad mit Stewalin auszugiesen und dann so nach 3/4 der Trockenzeit das Ding in Stücke zu brechen? Könnte ich mir für die Steindekors gut vorstellen, aber obs klappt weiß ich halt net 😀
Sobald man damit eine größere Truppe mit Bases versorgt relativiert sich der Anschaffungspreis wieder. Auf jeden Fall eine gute Idee.
