Aristeia!: Hexx3r Nomad Witch

Hi, Darlings ! It’s Nomad Witch squeezing into your comlog .

After the commotion caused by the leaked Maximus photos, the static big man – scarcely dressed for the shooting of his successful film Thermopylae, I couldn’t resist. I think I also deserve my very own change of attire ! I don’t mean that they dress me like a doll, as they did with Parvati! No offense, dear… but that’s not my style.

After some meetings, displacements (not only of objects), and an exchange of opinion -in a friendly way, let’s say- I got the Aristeia! design team to showcase a different part of my rich personality. The way I achieved this will be kept between us and the magical arts that people say I wield…

The designers themselves had to decide between a more traditional look for my skin, complete with a pointy-hat and broomstick (brrr… I feel chills just thinking about it), or a fantastic outfit derived from a sword and sorcery epic . Finally, the second option was chosen. I wonder what „pushed“ them to make that decision!

The first question that faced the designers was: what would this fantasy Hexx3r be like? Jesus „V“ Fuster tells us about the creation process:

„First of all, we made a list of the features that had to be kept so the public could identify Hexx3r without any doubt at first glance. In the same way Maximus’ trademark is his great shield, and Parvati has her twin weapons, we wanted hEXx3r to keep her mask and her charismatic asymmetrical eye.

In addition to all of this, we keep all of the reference material we used back in the day when we first created the miniature. We also have included some features from characters like Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty. That’s why our fantasy Nomad Witch ended up wearing a pair of outstanding antlers.

The dress of the miniature has the border markings of the original hEXx3r battle suit, specifically the hood (with the „X“ of hEXx3r). In this case, we inverted the colors so the dress ended up white and the lines were red.

In honor of the R@gdoll Tactics, we added a reference to her puppeteer past – she’s holding 8-Ball voodoo doll! The crow feathers she proudly displays on the shoulders not only give her a touch of a dark „nomadic“ sorceress, but also pay tribute to Maleficent and other dark witches from popular culture.

However, in order to keep her high-born roots from the original character, we decided to keep her characteristic staff. Instead of creating it by using twisted or woven branches, we decided to twist it slightly by adding some shiney trappings. Lastly, we topped it with a draconian creature.

Finally, and although it doesn’t appear as a texture on the miniature, we gave instructions for this nomadic witch to have black hands, as we imagine that in this fantasy world magic-users would pay a high price for access to the dark arts. We want the question to be asked: what does hEXx3r hide under the mask of hers?”

Good question, guys! Do I retain or hide something? Maybe one day the Human Sphere will find out!
