Weta Workshop: Killer Robots Kickstarter

The near-future is here, and Earth’s abandoned cities are now battlegrounds for the ultimate spectator sport: GIANT KILLER ROBOTS!

From the miscreants at Weta Workshop and Cryptozoic comes Weta Workshop’s first tabletop game, set in the sports-crazy dystopian future of Giant Killer Robots!

Strap in for the most epic smackdown this side of the megapocalypse. Gather your squad of Giant Killer Robots (GKRs), build your deck, and face your rivals in the ultimate fight for fame, fortune, and sweet salvage rights. Scheme, strategize and strong-arm your way to victory as you dominate the media landscape, one billboard at a time.

No game is complete without putting it through its paces in the playtesting arena. In 2016, we hit the road to bring GKR: Heavy Hitters to retailers in the USA!

Hitting stores across nine states, we got to meet the incredible community of game store owners and their devoted customers, as we embarked on a road trip through the heart of gameland America. All the valuable feedback we learned from retailers about the game, and what they’d like to see in a Kickstarter, has been channelled into the final product.

The Retail Edition of GKR: Heavy Hitters: SOLD OUT! Thanks to all our retail backers for your support! – The GKR Team

The Retail Deluxe of GKR: Heavy Hitters includes 8 games at wholesale; a bonus set of the game that you can use for demos; 8 sets of our 4 exclusive Pilot Miniatures (shown in our Pilot’s Edition); a bonus set of those same Pilot Miniatures for demos; and 8 sets of all Applicable Stretch Goals. On top of all that, you’ll also receive promo materials for your game demos. In fact, we’d love your feedback regarding your preferred promo materials – whether that’s posters, flyers, stickers, or something else entirely!

Please note: these editions are for Retailers only, so we may require proof of business. Not sure if you qualify? Send us a message during the campaign and we’ll have a chat.

Versand:

Shipping of the GKR: Heavy Hitters Kickstarter will be coordinated by our dedicated Consumer Products team here at Weta Workshop in Wellington, New Zealand. We have more than 15 years’ experience shipping collectibles, merchandise, and other types of consumer products all over the world! For this Kickstarter, our planned fulfilment centres are located in the USA, The Netherlands, and NZ.

Finalised shipping will be charged after the Kickstarter ends, through our Pledge Manager. The amount charged will be based on the EXACT cost required to ship you the game, the applicable Stretch Goals, and Add Ons.

For this reason, we can’t give definitive shipping costs just yet. But here’s what we estimate the core game will cost to ship: $34-$46 to ship to the USA; $50 to Australia; $25 to New Zealand; $50-$60 to Canada; $20-$45 to the EU; $65-$100 to EEC non-EU countries; $60 to Asia (excluding India); and $90-110 to ship to the rest of the world (including, but not limited to, Africa, South America, India, and the UAE). All prices have been quoted in USD.

Backers are responsible for any and all import fees, VAT, duties, taxes, post office fees, and any other fees their country or government imposes. There are different import laws and customs entry rules for some countries that may prevent your goods arriving. Please check your country’s rules and regulations relating to the importing of goods.

PLEASE NOTE: the costs specified are rough estimates only. The cost of shipping may be higher or lower depending on the Stretch Goals unlocked, the amount you pledge, the Add-Ons you select, and the fees charged by your country to import the game.

If your wallet’s feeling the burn on those shipping costs, rest assured – we hear you (and your wallet). Here’s the deal, though: those shipping costs are pretty colossal because GKR: Heavy Hitters is a pretty colossal game! I mean, check out this size comparison…

And rest assured – we’re packing a whole lotta goodies in the final package. Including many Kickstarter exclusives that you won’t be able to get anywhere else! We reckon you’ll be stoked with the final product and we can’t wait for our box, to land in your mailbox.

We’ll provide regular updates to the Shipping section as our Kickstarter progresses, so be sure to check back regularly.

Thanks for joining us on this journey!

Cancellations and Refunds Policy

We know that sometimes, situations change. Maybe you’ve spent all your pocket money getting the rust off your Recon Unit. Maybe you bet the house on King Wolf winning Division One. Whatever the reason, if you find yourself seeking a refund, here’s what we offer:

You may cancel your order at any time during the funding phase. We recommend you have a quick read of the Kickstarter terms and conditions before you pledge – they can be found here.

  • All pledges are binding at the closure of the GKR: Heavy Hitters Kickstarter. After this time, no refunds or alterations will be available.
  • If you receive a damaged item, you may return it for a replacement. All replacements are subject to availability and proof of damage. If no replacement is available, we’ll refund you in full.

Fortschritt:

  • Mech-Kampf Brettspiel klingt immer gut. 😀
