Khurasan Miniatures: BMP-1P und Raumschiffe
Khurasan Miniatures zeigen ihren neuen BMP-1P Panzer und zwei Raumschiffe.
We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm Soviet/Russian vehicle of the Cold War to Modern period, the BMP-1P. After its trial by fire in the Yom Kippur War, the BMP-1 was found to have room for improvement, and one key issue was the mounting of the ATGM launcher above the main cannon. This was remedied on the BMP-1P, which has a pintle mounted ATGM launching tube. Thousands of these remain in service around the world today.
Garn Warship (foreground) and Federal Dreadnought (background). Comparable in size and power, the starships indicate the different philosophies of the two opposing empires. The Federal Navy exists to protect the Federation from invasion and to patrol the transport lanes, protecting commerce and providing assistance to local governments as necessary. It also conducts exploration into uncharted quadrants, establishing relationships with sentients. Each ship is an intrinsic part of the navy. The Dreadnoughts are kept in reserve in case of a general war, although they may be assigned to patrol duty in times of conflict.
Most of the spacefaring vessels in the Garn Confederation are commerce raiders of various sizes, pressing out in all directions seeking to plunder from those too weak to offer resistance, or trade with those capable of defending themselves. These are private ships — the larger ones, the heavy merchant-warships, often captained by the magnates who own them. In this way the Garn are similar to the Vikings or the 17th Century Dutch Republic of old Earth. The Garn Navy contains only „Warships,“ and these mighty vessels are the equivalent in size and strength of Federal Dreadnoughts. For fleet actions large numbers of lighter ships are seconded into the navy, as was the case with the Dutch Navy.
The models are both being printed now, and when they are will be sent to the caster.
