Gates of Antares: Neuheiten im Juni
Warlord Games zeigen weitere Neuheiten für Beyond the Gates of Antares.
The Chryseis Shard – Ascent of the Locus – £22.00
The Chryseis Shard – The Ascent of the Locus – describes events taking place in Antarean space since the destruction of the planet Xilos as portrayed in the first Antares supplement The Battle for Xilos. At the conclusion of that adventure, the discovery of an unborn Builder Gate and its subsequent escape from stasis consumed the planet Xilos and unleashed a new and terrifying power into the Antarean nexus.
The following forces all take part in the narrative:
- Ghar – The Ghar forces on the mining world of Chryseis 3 led by High Commander Karg.
- Concord – The Concord Combined Command mission to Chryseis led by Commander Kamrana Josen.
- Algoyrn Task Force Radiance led by SD Councillor General Ess Ma Rahq.
- Freeborn – Exploratory mission led by Prince Batu Delhren.
- Boromite – Geren’do Mining Company led by Tas Geren’do.
- Ghar Outcast Rebels – Ghar Fifth Columnists whose leaders guard their identities very closely indeed.
- Isorians – The Senatex expedition to the Chryseis system led by Commander Xan Tu.
- The Locus – A rogue machine intelligence of immense power.
As some may recall, gamers all over the world were invited to play out the Xilos campaign and contribute their own results to our Xilos campaign website. As well as recording results for the rival factions, many players were generous enough to share pictures of their games as well as descriptions of their battles and forces. The storyline in this second supplement follows on from those events. The role of the competing factions and surviving characters has been drawn from the broad campaign results.
Not only did we weave the threads of our tale from the outcome of the previous campaign, but we have also taken characters created by one of our participants and given them a role in our new story. This is Prince Batu Delhren and Commander Baray Tsulmari, characters created by Tim Bancroft that form part of his own Freeborn force. The pair are also the principle actors in Tim’s fiction series, as part of our forthcoming range of novels and short story’s set in the Antarean universe. So, thank you Tim for your generosity in allowing us to realise your creations in miniature, and thank you everyone who took part in our first online campaign.
This supplement is designed so that players can make use of the content in various ways, depending on how they wish to approach things, how much time they have to play, and how many players are participating.
Full Campaign. You can play out the entire campaign of six battles using the forces described. Each side’s total score gives it an individual success rating. The score accumulated by the Locus gives a bonus level in the final game, making the Locus easier or harder to defeat.
Modified Campaign. You can also play out the entire campaign of six battles using any forces chosen to an appropriate points value as indicated for each game. You might also reduce the number of battles by just playing the ones that appeal to you.
Narrative Scenarios. You can play any of the six individual scenarios in this book using any forces you wish in the same way as the narrative scenarios already included in the Beyond the Gates of Antares rulebook. Individual scenarios can be played over and over again, with different forces every time if you want. Notes are also included suggesting further variations to try out.

Although introduced here for the first time, these new entries form part of the relevant army lists and can be used in any Antares games. Your Free PDF army lists will be up dated soon!

Algoryn Special Division Commander Ess Ma Rahq – £15.00
Ess Ma Rahq belongs to one of the oldest and most renowned of all the great Optimate moch, or clans, of the Algoryn: the Rahq. Ess Ma Rahq is every inch a member of the haughty and ambitious clan into which she was born. She took to the obligatory military training with relish, proving an insightful if merciless leader, inspiring both loyalty and dread in equal degree. Most of all her evident intelligence and technical aptitude distinguished her from her cohorts.
If she was hardhearted and calculating it was only because these qualities were necessary to survive; if she was ambitious it was the worthy ambition of a superior mind; if she were to rise to supremacy it was a duty she would accept by right. It would be an honour to serve and it would add another Rahq name to the long history of Algor.
Algoryn Hazard Command Squad – £15.00
The Algoryn Prosperate is ruled by a warrior elite that collectively forms the High Council of Algor. They are a people who make no distinction at all between military and civil functions in government. Its military leadership are also its civil leaders, and the path to rank and political power is to be found upon the battlefield.
This pack contains the following metal models:

Algoryn Hazard Squad – £15.00
Algoryn Hazard squads are equipped with heavily-armoured enviro-suits, generally known as Hazard armour. They carry a powerful combination of ranged and close-fighting weapons. Troops wearing Hazard armour benefit from integrated weapon systems, including distort-spinners, and they carry an upgrated plasma carbine that draws power from the suit’s own energy pack facilitating a rapid rate of fire.
This pack contains the following metal models:
- 1 Hazard Leader with plasma carbine and D-spinner
- 4 Hazard Troopers with plasma carbines and D-spinners
Hazard Vector formation – 1000 point Algoryn Army – £145.00
Featuring the first, full & truly elite army. With only 15 troops plus vehicles and drones, you have a complete and ultimately devastating force. Whilst this army does not have a large amount of bodies, it certainly makes up for it for each Hazard being the equivalent of 5 normal troopers. This bundle contains:
- 1 Hazard Commander
- 14 Hazard Troopers

Boromite Miner Tas Geren’do – £15.00
TasGeren’do is a venerable Rock Father whose long and colourful past was spent – or more accurately misspent – chasing riches, dreams and women. As a young mercenary fighter, he fought for the Ky’am Freetraders, quickly gaining a reputation for determination and daring, and rising to take command of his own company. After falling out with the Ky’am he became a treasurehunter and adventurer – and a successful one at that!
That was all a long time ago. His adventures have taken their toll over a long lifetime. He has already lived through six major reconstructive rejuvenations. That was until he was caught in a rock fall and so badly crushed that even the advanced reconstructive regeneration techniques of the Panhuman Concord could not entirely save him.
As a Boromite he was unwilling to endure transition into a machine, but there was no time to grow an entire clone body. Instead, they regenerated what they could and melded what could be salvaged of his human body with a machine interface.
Rover Drone Surveyor – £8.00
The Boromite Rover is an automated exploration drone that is used for remote surveying and mineral sampling. It works in conjunction with Micromite buddy drones. Like much Boromite technology it is designed to operate independently of a nanosphere. Where there is a risk of contamination from the nanosphere or subversion by rivals it can operate as a closed unit. Perfect for the conditions experienced on Chryseis III.
Rovers are tough machines, built to withstand extremes of heat, pressure and radiation.
Geren’do’s miners on Chryseis 3 have adjusted the nanoconnectivity of their machines to make them practically invisible to the rogue shard. Information gathered by the Rovers is carried back to the Boromites via micromite runners and short ranged microwave relays.
x3 Hazard Strike Capsules set – £12.50
The Strike capsule has been specifically designed for surgical insertion of a single Hazard suit. Employed by the SD (Special Division) in selective operations, the individual trooper is synced to external holovids and sensor array feeds, allowing for advanced combat readiness. A proximity anchor is also available to maintain a capsule coherency throughout insertion, helping to reduce casualties from any enemy counter ordnance or alien nanospore.
NB this is such a top secret design that only this image available to IMTeL at this time – more information will be processed as further details arrive!
Contains: 3 complete MDF and card Hazard Strike Capsules from Sarissa Precision
x5 Hazard Strike Capsules Deployed set – £12.50
The Strike Capsule’s design also incorporates localised transmat beacons as well as upgrades to a compacted squad support weapon.
A typical Hazard vector formation might comprise 15 suits (Command and 2 to 4 units) in strike capsules, occasionally with hazard drone landers – depending on mission parameters – and sometimes accompanied by an attached weapon drone lander.
NB can be made in a variety of positions with extra panelling allowing for a dynamic and intimidating game piece and effective terrain.

Muss leider etwas reduzieren 🙂
