T’au Tiger Shark AX-1-0 – 165,00 GBP
On Taros, the T’au deployed a new variant of the Tiger Shark. Codified as the AX-1-0, this heavily armed Tiger Shark replaced its drone racks and ion cannon with two heavy rail cannon and a seeker missile array. These massive weapons, usually mounted on the far larger Manta, turn the Tiger Shark into a formidable ground-attack craft, capable of engaging and destroying super-heavy tanks and Titans.
Designed to cut through the air like a knife while deploying the kind of apocalyptic weaponry that no craft of its sleekness and efficiency really has any business wielding, the T’au Tiger Shark AX-1-0 is a complete multi-part resin kit. It features several modelling options – there is a choice of either long-barrelled cyclic ion blasters or burst cannon for the wing-tip drones, and the undercarriage can be modelled open or closed. Struts and landing gear are supplied for the open undercarriage option, and there are recessed areas sculpted into the underside of the miniature – should you wish to use magnets in order to switch between the open or closed undercarriage at your leisure, the space is there.
Besides those options, the kit is covered in details; whilst obviously dominated by the 2 enormous heavy rail cannon (perfect for puncturing Titans), there are also 6 seeker missiles, upper and lower exhaust systems for each of the 2 engines, 2 electronic countermeasure pods and 2 chaff launchers.

Ansonsten schöner Release. Der Custodes gefällt mir gut, aber da reicht mir der grundsätzliche Telemon. Der Flieger sieht gut aus.

Also so Air Wing detachment ist sicher cool. Für Aeronautica Imperialis… Was macht man mit solchen Monsterfliegern in 40k? Oder ist das mehr so Vitrinenzeug?
Ist eher für die Vitrine glaub ich. Die standarmäßigen 6×4 Felder sind schon bei 2000 Punkte Spielen zu klein, beim Einsatz von Fliegern wird es noch alberner.
Also die Barracuda sind für normale Spiele ok, aber der Tiger ist ja eh dafür ausgelegt Großwild wie Titanen und fette Panzer zu jagen, also eher was für Tischtennisplatten oder Spiele in Hallen/Fußboden und Punkten ab 10k.
Hübsch ist er aber, dafür brauch man auch den nötigen Platz zum ausstellen, find ich.
Beim Tigershark bin ich echt versucht. Die Größe stört mich nicht, kann mir gut vorstellen dass der im Kampf langsam übers Schlachtfeld gleitet. Wirkt eh eher wie ein Raumschiff als ein Überschallflieger. Nur die starre Hauptbewaffnung passt irgendwie nicht zu den 360 Grad Regeln gerade, aber Fahrzeug Sicht- und Schusslinien sind eh derzeit komisch.
Krass ist natürlich wie gewohnt der Preis und der Zusammenbau ist sicher auch wieder grauenhaft weil die Hälfte verzogen. Aber als schwere Anti-Panzer Alternative für größere Spiele gibts ansonsten aber eigentlich nur den Stormsurge und den finde ich nach wie vor vom Konzept für Tau völlig unpassend (und hässlich! – da müsste man schon einiges umbauen). Und noch mehr Hammerhead / Fusions-Kampfanzüge will ich eigentlich nicht mitnehmen.
Oh ja und irgend so ein Marine Cybot. Mal was ganz neues *gähn*.
Kurze Frage noch: weiß jemand wie groß das Base von dem Tiger Shark ist? Würd den zunächst gern mal mit entsprechender Unterlage als Valkyre proxen und im Spiel testen, bevor ich diese Unsummen in Betracht ziehe…
Scheint keine der üblichen GW–Größten zu sein. Würde sagen die gleiche Größe wie bei dem großen TAU–Titan. Finde die momentan aber nicht, da ich ne größere aus Holz verwendet habe. Das Ding hatte ungefähr die größte der Flugbase (lange Seite).
