Hellcat Platoon – 50,00 GBP
After the experiences of improvised tank destroyer vehicles such as the M3 half-track with 75mm gun, M6 truck with 37mm gun and the M10 tank destroyer (3-inch gun on a modified M4 Sherman hull), the US Army were keen to produce a bespoke tank destroyer to hunt enemy armour. An order was issued in late 1941 to mount a 37mm gun in the requested vehicle. This was to be upgraded several times to 57mm, 75mm and then finally a 76mm.
The result of this development would be the M18 Hellcat – the fastest US armoured fighting vehicle of the Second World War.
M18 Hellcats served in the invasion of the Phillipines and saw action in Europe during the landings at Anzio in Italy and in Northwest Europe.
Hellcats were also exported to China where they served in an infantry support role.
The Hellcat could be found in the service of several nations following World War II with the Yugoslav army still fielding them into the 1990s!

- Three 1/56 scale hard plastic M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyers
- Full-colour waterslide decal sheet

M18 Hellcats served in the invasion of the Phillipines and saw action in Europe during the landings at Anzio in Italy and in Northwest Europe.

This set comes with 2 new plastic M18 Hellcats plus 1 plastic M20 Utility vehicle (which can also be made into the M8 Greyhound if you so wish).
- Two 1/56 scale hard plastic M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyers
- One 1/56 scale hard plastic M20 Utility (M8 with Greyhound option) kit
- Full-colour waterslide decal sheets
- Construction leaflets
- Bolt Action stat card for M18
- Damage markers

M3 Stuart – 18,00 GBP
s American tank designers began to recognise the outdated and obsolete nature of the M2 light tank, they realised they needed to create something new.
The M3 Stuart was a direct upgrade from its predecessor, the M2 light tank, with thicker armour, modified suspension and new recoil system. The M3 Stuart used the 37mm M5 gun (later to be replaced by the new, slightly longer M6 gun) as well as five mounted Browning machine guns.
This was the first U.S. tank to partake in tank-versus-tank combat in World War 2, where a platoon of five Stuarts engaged the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) 4th Tank Regiment’s Type 95 Ha-Go light tanks.
The Stuart stands tall, and was favoured by many crews due to its fairly high speed. It was mechanically reliable and obtained the nickname „Honey“ due to its smooth ride.
During 1942, the British Army decided to keep their Stuarts away from tank-versus-tank combat and instead use them for reconnaissance. A number of Stuart variations arose, including the Stuart Recce, the Stuart Kangaroo and the Stuart Command. Making a conversion of these is easy with the new plastic Stuart. The Recce had the turret removed in order to achieve an improved speed and range, while the Kangaroo had been converted into an armoured personel carrier.
The M3 proved itself as an effective armoured vehicle in jungle environments, where the Japanese infantrymen found themselves under-equipped and lacking anti-tank weaponry. This left them with only one option, which was to rely on close assault tactics. The Stuart was an impressive counter to this, and in this setting was barely any more vulnerable than a medium tank.

Buffalo Hump and His-oo-san-chees – Ausverkauft

Buffalo Hump – War Chief of the Penateka band of the Comanche Indians (right), plus His-oo-san-chees – The Little Spaniard (left).
Perhaps one of the most recognised and powerful Native American empires of all time belonged to the Comanche who dominated the plains of the Western United States. As the white American migration headed West it was inevitable that violence would follow.
In 1840, some Comanche chiefs attempted to make peace with the Texas government under a white flag of truce in a Council House in San Antonio. There was a misunderstanding by the Texans and what followed was a massacre of the Chiefs, sparking a lasting bitterness in the Comanche people and one Comanche war chief particularly – Po-cha-na-quar-hip, known as “Buffalo Hump”.
The word spread to the other bands of Comanches that he was raiding the white settlements in revenge, all the way from the plains of west Texas to the cities of Victoria and Linnville (second largest port in Texas at that time). This attack would become known as the Great Raid of 1840.
At the time of the Great Raid, many trade goods were en route from overseas to New Orleans, Louisiana to San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas. In addition to the cloth and other trade goods usually present in the Linnville warehouse at that time were several cases of hats and umbrellas belonging to James Robinson, a San Antonio merchant. „These the Indians made free with, and went dashing about the blazing village, amid their screeching squaws and `little Injuns,‘ like demons in a drunken saturnalia, with Robinson’s hats on their heads and Robinson’s umbrellas bobbing about on every side.“ After loading loot onto pack mules, the raiders, grandly attired in their booty, finally began their retreat on the afternoon on August 8, 1840.
His-oo-san-chees – The Little Spaniard (sculpted with bow and shield) was described by painter George Catlin:
„He is half Spanish, and being a half-breed, for whom they generally have the most contemptuous feelings, he has been all his life thrown into the front of battle and danger; at which posts he has signalized himself, and commanded the highest admiration and respect of the tribe for his daring and adventurous career.“
Pack contains 4 metal figures.
