Streetscape: Neuer Gelände-Kickstarter
Philip Page hat einen neuen Gelände-Kickstarter gestartet.
Like most small manufacturers we’re also gamers who like the detail of resin buildings but prefer the price of laser cut. So we’ve come up with an idea which combines the best of both – laser cut shells clad with resin fronts, backs and rooftops. This offers economic buildings with high detail which are both easy to assemble and paint. Thanks to the nature of the kits the detail of the resin can be painted prior to assembly – so no more tricky bits!
Facades are also available seperately for your own builds, they’re 5mm thick on average so compatible with foamboard and foamed PVC.
The Buildings
This is the Small model of the range. It’s approximately 170mm high, 100mm wide and 110mm deep (6.69″ x 3.93″ x 4.43″).
You pick the facades you want front and back, the style of roofing and any extra roof details so there’s a wide scope for variation.
Below is the Medium model of the range. It’s approximately 225mm high, 100mm wide and 110mm deep (8.85″ x 3.93″ x 4.43″).
You pick the facades you want front and back, the style of roofing and any extra roof details, so again there’s a wide scope for variation.
Below is the Large model of the range. It’s approximately 245mm high, 150mm wide and 160mm deep (9.64″ x 5.9″ x 6.29″).
You pick the facades you want front and back, the style of roofing, and whether to put dormer windows or skylights on, so again there’s even more opportunity for variation.
Small Frontages
These are the frontages for the Small buildings, they’re approximately 5mm thick (0.19″) and fit snugly onto the MDF shell.
Medium Frontages
These are the frontages for the Medium buildings, they’re approximately 5mm thick (0.19″) and fit snugly onto the MDF shell. They’re effectively one storey higher than the Small buildings.
Large Frontages
These are the frontages for the Large buildings, they’re approximately 5mm thick (0.19″) and fit snugly onto the MDF shell. They’re effectively half as wide again as the Medium buildings.
Roofing Options
There are three different roof tile options for the Small and Medium buildings. These are fully detailed, but the tiles are thin enough to allow a close fit for the addition of chimneys and dormer windows without requiring filling.
There are two different roof tile options for the Large buildings. These are fully detailed, but again the tiles are thin enough to allow a close fit for the addition of chimneys and dormer windows without requiring filling.
Dormer Windows, Skylights & Chimneys
There’s two options for the dormer window, although there is a possibility of making others. This is down to funding and demand. One is included in the Medium building kit, two are included in the Large Building kit and they are available seperately as an add-on at £2.50 each.
There’s one skylight available for £1 each.
Two options for the chimney, one is included in every kit and they are also available seperately as an add-on at £2 each.
Optional Extras
This fifteen piece Sign Set is available to add even more detail for £5.
Please note the spelling mistake of „Quincailleri“ has been corrected but not in time for the photo displayed below.
This sixteen piece set of Balconettes(a false balcony, or railing on the outside of a window-opening) adds a pleasant finishing touch to every building for £5 a set.
Quick Guide to building the kits
The MDF shell is twelve parts, two sides, front & back, and eight tabs.
Slot the front back and sides together.
Add the tabs in the upper and lower corners.
Then you’ll have a completed shell.
Dormers, skylights and chimneys can then be added wherever you choose. There’s also coping tiles for the roof join at the top.
Disclaimer, Credits & Notes
All kits require simple construction and painting, unless they’re purchased as the limited built and painted options. No miniatures, figures, vehicles or other items featured in the video or the photos are included, they’re only used as examples.
