Infinity: Manga angekündigt
Corvus Belli haben ein Infinity-Manga angekündigt.
The time has come!!!
It has been months since Corvus Belli is working on this new project, in the utmost secret, but today we share it with you:
We are going to publish an Infinity manga. Nuff said!!
Well now let’s get serious, we know that many of you have been expecting this for a long time, even demanding it. But you cannot imagine how bad we wanted it too. And today we have the pleasure to announce this new project, developed by the awesome Kenny Ruiz (Illustrator) and Victor Santos (writer) in collaboration with Corvus Belli.
Even from the most ancient and remote times of the development of what is today Infinity, there was a phase on which Gutier Lusquiños (Infinity writer) and myself where working on a manga book based on the adventures of the role playing characters of our friends and associates Fernando Liste (CEO) and Carlos Torres (Concept designer), it was not until the Cangas Salón del Manga, (when we only had the first book published), where while talking to the illustrators Tirso Cons (a good friend of us) and Kenny Ruiz (whom we had just met) the…This has to be done, dammit, came up.
However, the fate was not favorable on that moment, and even though some moves where made the thing did not pan out. But it left a mark.
It was during the N3 production when we contacted Kenny to collaborate with the illustrations of the new edition of the Infinity RPG (as it couldn’t be any other way), when we took a walk through memory lane together and brought back the Infinity manga project. As any project in Corvus Belli, this had a long journey ahead. But “This has to be done, dammit” has been in our bucket list since the beginning.
So the machines started churning. Kenny contacted Victor Santos to write the story, who gladly accepted. We set a meeting and filled their heads with our ideas of the Infinity universe, we had record amounts of coffee and beer, and we patched together the first draft of the story.
Since then, we have been several months at it, working around the clock and “in silence”. And we still cannot tell you when you will see it, neither how it is going to be, but we could not hold it any longer and we wanted to tell and start showing it.
Because… we are going to publish an Infinity manga!!!
For the fortunate ones living in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, we invite you to come to Madrid’s Expomanga where Kenny Ruiz will show his work from the 5th to the 8th of this month, there you will be able to find the first pages of this Project. Victor Santos will also be present on the Barcelona Salón del Manga doing the same, do not hesitate and come in to learn more about the project and take the opportunity to get their works signed.

Da bin ich positiv gespannt.
Bei dem Artwork (aus den Regelwerken etc.) dachte ich als erstes nur, dass es sehr konsequent ist. Ich freu mich drauf 🙂
War eigentlich nur ne Frage der Zeit. Vom Stil her, waren die ja schon immer sehr nahe am Manga. Wird bestimmt gekauft 😉
Sehr geil! Mehr Hintergrund ist immer gut. Wenn er in Form eines Mangas kommt solls mir recht sein. 🙂

Schön zu sehen, wie ein Universum immer weiter wächst. Auch wenn ich mit infinity nie richtig warm geworden bin, gucke ich äußerst neidisch auf die Fülle an Hintergrundmaterial, die ständig wächst (RPG, Comic). Super
Klasse.
Das werden interessante Zeiten. Ich hoffe die bringen nicht noch mehr nutzlosen Kram raus, ansonsten muss ich noch anschaffen gehen. :p
einfach fantastisch, der ist so gut wie gekauft
Hoffe nur sie konzentrieren sich auf eine Story und versuchen nicht mit aller Gewalt sämtliche Fraktionen in einen Comic zu zwängen!
Oh ja, doch! Immer irgendwo im Hintergrund und dann muss man suchen: Where’s Wallace?
Die Preview-Bilder sind schon mal extrem vielversprechend! Allein dieser Blick auf diese Mega-Metropole ist voll von Inspiration für eigene Spieltische! Wenn dann auch noch coole Handlung kommt, vielleicht der eine oder andere Comic-Held als Figur fürs Tabletop. Aww yeah!
Ich fand die Modelle immer schon gut, bin aber mit dem Hintergrund nie wirklich warm geworden (sprich keine Fraktion, die mir durchweg gefallen hat). Bin sehr gespannt, was da kommt, vllt. springe ich dann doch mit auf den Zug auf 🙂
Ist das denn jetzt mehr eine Erweiterung oder ein neues System,
oder wie ist das zu verstehen?
So wie ich das verstehe soll der Manga den Fluff im ganzen erweitern und auf den Charakteren aus dem RPG aufbauen was demnächst erscheinen soll.
Das dürfte dem ganzen System und Universum ein ordentlich boost geben.
Im Grunde hat man dann Infinity das TT und das RPG und bei beiden recht viel Fluff. Wenn alles klappt beim RPG dann 15+ Bücher plus den Manga.
Sieht interessant aus und auch wenn ich Infinity nicht spiele, so könnte ich mir dennoch vorstellen den Manga zu kaufen, um mal so ne Vorstellung von dessen Universum zu bekommen.
Die Metropole hatten mich irgendwie gleich an den Metroid-Manga erinnert und ich bin mal gespannt, was daraus werden wird 😀
