This campaign’s minimum funding goal of $2100 will be used to produce at least 3 „Champions“ in white metal pewter for 28mm -non heroic- scale wargaming. Accompanying the main goal, there are 5 more potential miniatures to be produced as stretch goals so far, with the last stretch goal being a very particular Gnome character that, if unlocked, besides becoming an electable miniature for an add-on, the 3D file will be a gift to „Pack of 12“ and higher pledge level backers. This is the third set of miniatures that completes the line from Menhir Games‘ “Champions from Around the Ancient World”.

Each miniature will come with either a 25mm round, 25mm square, or 30mm round pewter metal base (size survey sent after successful campaign). Each base has a small area in which you can write the name of your character and exalt them to that hero level!

This complete line of miniatures, with faction names and designs are part of Menhir Games‘ fantasy world background in which further miniatures, rules for wargaming and detailed settings for RPG games, will be released.

As an extra — and since this is the last campaign for 28mm characters from Menhir Games– we communicated with 2 companies that have each one created their own rulesets that we want to recommend because they fit perfectly with these particular miniatures: rules for skirmishes of about 4 to 12 miniatures per side, having both rulesets a RPG “touch”, making it possible to make very customizable profiles for each Champion.

From Metal Express ( www.metal-express.net ) we have Bladestorm:

“Bladestorm is ICE’s classic fantasy “skirmish-style” miniatures game. Each figure represents one person or creature. Simple and fast-pace, it’s a raw, hard-edged game with an emphasis on action and color. Bladestorm is designed to stand alone; you never need a referee. Use the Bladestorm rules to fight miniatures battles set in virtually any fantasy world.”

From Spiral Bridge Studio ( www.spiralbridgestudios.com ) we have Rack & Ruin:

“Rack & Ruin is a campaign-based skirmish game designed for 25mm-35mm fantasy miniatures. Players design the 4-5 miniatures they want to use as characters and add more as monsters or apprentices that follow their heroes.

This book contains all the rules for building your party of Human, Elf, Dwarf, Halfling, Orc, Goblin, Risen and Beastman characters. Choose your party’s goal from the 6 provided and then customize your characters with 18 different skills, over 130 traits, and over 70 items.

Using a streamlined 2d6 system game play is designed to be easy to learn and flow quickly from player to player. Unlike other miniatures games Rack & Ruin is designed to play up to four players, the more the better.”

Menhir Games is based in Argentina and specializes in sculpting miniatures in various scales and for various genres. In this occasion; „28mm Fantasy Champions from Around the Ancient World – Set Three“ aims to offer champions/characters from different fantasy races that are also based on historical cultures & nations of the ancient world. Offering a fresh, original concept and background.

In partnership with Nick Ryan, founder of Idyllwild Games, owner of this KS account, and producer of the graphics for this campaign. Expect big things from Idyllwild Games in the very near future!
