Born in the forests of Marvelland, the Fairies are mischievous and curious. Their puckish nature has de-signed them to play tricks on other creatures or to meticulously craft detailed objects. You won’t be surprised then to learn that you usually meet them alongside Goblins in the Thieves’ Guild or alongside Gnomes in the Artisans’ Guild. Particularly nimble, they are experienced thieves and no creature can hold a candle to them. Their butterfly wings give them the special ability of Flight. With one flutter of their wings, they can cross the whole country to unearth its riches. Therefore, they make for brilliant scouts, always quick to find the component you were missing to create your artefact or to scarper when they have relieved you from your wealth! Fast and mobile, the Fairies will make you dizzy on the board.

Deft and deceitful, the Goblin likes to hide away in the ruins of Marvelland and go down to the hills and the forests to prepare his larcenies. This creature would rather take his victims by surprise than face them off directly. The lure of quick profit devours this creature who prefers swearing allegiance to the Thieves’ or the Brigands’ Guild rather than waiting patiently to see his wealth grow. In many aspects, the Goblin is the Gnome’s evil twin. However, he will rather use cunning than anger, and if you arouse his covetousness, you are lost! His special ability makes him Lucky and enables him to reroll his dice once per round on any roll. Beware if you are at his mercy, because the Goblin will take all your money! You won’t even have time to cry for help before the Goblin has already taken you to the cleaners. And he will hand you the bill too…

Small and tenacious, the Gnome is a city creature who likes to parade around covered with a large hat that makes him look imposing. Solicitous over work well done, he can usually be found in the Usurers’ or the Artisans’ Guild. The Gnome is a versatile creature able to adapt to situations. Under his hat hides a sharp mind ready to take advantage of any situation. The Gnome is Clever and this special ability enables him, once in a round, to have his adversary reroll his dice on any roll. Quite practical to avoid trouble and protect the Guild’s gold and artefacts efficiently. Thanks to this quality, the Gnome is often his Guild’s mastermind.
