Frostgrave: Nickstarter läuft

Northstar Miniatures haben ein Pre-Order Programm für ihr Spiel Frostgrave gestartet.

 

Amidst the frozen ruins of an ancient city, wizards battle in the hopes of discovering the treasures of a fallen empire. In this fantasy skirmish wargame, each player takes on the role of a wizard from one of ten schools of magic, and builds his band of followers. The wizard’s apprentice will usually accompany his master, and more than a dozen other henchman types are available for hire, from lowly thugs to heavily armoured knights and stealthy thieves. Wizards can expand their magical knowledge by unlocking ancient secrets and may learn up to 80 different spells.

While individual games of Frostgrave are quick and can easily be played in an hour or two, it is by connecting them into an ongoing campaign that players will find the most enjoyment. In the campaign section, players will find treasure tables, rules for establishing bases, and even tables for wandering monsters. The scenarios given in the book are merely the beginning of the limitless adventures that can be found amidst the ruins of the Frozen City.

As Frostgrave is a table-top miniatures game, we’ve teamed up with Osprey Games to bring you the official Frostgrave figures. We’ve based them on the illustrations in the book, painted by artist Dmitry Burmak. There are three different sets of figures.The first set is the Wizards themselves. The Wizards are in packs of two figures, a Wizard and an Apprentice of a particular school. There are 10 different schools of magic in the game Frostgrave, and we have a pack of Wizards for each. These figures are made of pewter. The second set is specialist followers that the Wizards can employ, such as thieves and barbarians. These are also pewter figures.The third set is plastic figures. This is a box of twenty plastic figures to represent the soldiers the Wizards employ to accompany them into Frostgrave. The box set contains plenty of different weapon and equipment variants that no two Wizard parties will ever look the same.

Nickstarter Pre-order Program 

The official release date for Frostgrave is the 20th of July 2015. With our Nickstarter pre-order program, we are offering you the opportunity to not only get your Frostgrave book and figures early, but to get some unique free and limited edition pieces with your order.We have five deals available in our Nickstarter, which we’ve named Wizard Levels.The Nickstarter Pre-order program ends June 29th 2015.

Level One Wizard £15:

A copy of the Frostgrave rulebook. Every rulebook comes with 6 free treasure tokens **(Each player in Frostgrave needs 3 treasure tokens, as markers to represent the magic items the Wizard parties are seeking. Our Level One Wizard treasure tokens are round bases with different treasure sculpted on.)

Level Two Wizard £20:

A copy of the Frostgrave rulebook and one Wizard pack of your choice. The Wizard pack contains two metal figures, a Wizard and Apprentice. The 6 Treasure tokens come with the rulebook. This is a cheaper option than buying the items.

Level Four Wizard £85:

A copy of the Frostgrave rulebook, all ten Wizard packs and a box of plastic Frostgrave Soldiers. The Wizard packs contains two metal figures, a Wizard and Apprentice. The 6 Treasure tokens come with the rulebook. This is a cheaper option than buying the items individually.

Level Five Wizard £111:

The Ultimate Wizard! This buys you one of everything. A Frostgrave Rulebook, the ten Wizard packs, the four Specialist Soldier packs, a box of the plastic Frostgrave Soldiers and a copy of Tales of the Frozen City. The six Treasure tokens come with the rulebook. This is a cheaper option than buying the items individually. As a special addition to being the Ultimate Wizard, level five Wizards also get a free figure of the central character from the next Frostgrave release, Thaw of the Lich Lord.

Early Bird Rewards:

The Nickstarter Pre-order program ends June 29th 2015. Place your order before the 15th of June 2015, and we will send your order Post Free in the UK, or a flat £9 fee to anywhere else in the world. As long as you’ve placed a Wizard Level order before that date, you can still add Frostgrave products to your Early Bird offer. After the 15th of June, normal postage rates will apply.

Extra Frostgrave Products.

Once you’ve bought into a Wizard Level, we will give you access to other Frostgrave shopping pages where you can buy more products. So if you wanted an extra box of plastic Frostgrave Soldiers, or a different Wizard pack, this is where you’ll find them. Frostgrave the Rulebook and all the Frostgrave figures will be on general sale from the 20th of July 2015. Nickstarter special items will not be included.

Spend Goals

Spend Goal 1: £2500 

Every Level 3, 4 & 5 Wizard will receive a free Treasure Chest model, to use as a superior treasure token in the game.

Every copy of Tales of a Frozen City (Collection of Frostgrave short stories) ordered will now come with an extra free digital version.

Spend Goal 2: £5000 

Every Level 3, 4 & 5 Wizard will receive a free figure of a Knight to accompany their Wizards party. This Knight will only be available as a Spend Goal reward. The Knight is a metal figure.

 

This spend goal releases a new pack of Wizard Companions, an Ice Toad and Snow Leopard, available for Wizards of any level to buy. The new Companions will be metal figures.

Spend Goal 3: £7500 

Every Level 3, 4 & 5 Wizard will receive a free Armour Rack model, to use as a superior treasure token in the game.

 

This spend goal releases two new Creatures, an Imp Demon and Minor Demon, available for Wizards of any level to buy. The new Creatures will be metal figures.

Spend Goal 4: £10000 

Every Level 3, 4 & 5 Wizard will receive a free Weapons Rack model, to use as a superior treasure token in the game.

 

This spend goal releases two new Creatures, a Small Construct and a Medium Construct, available for Wizards of any level to buy. The new Creatures will be metal figures.
