Sebastian: In this next set of WIP pictures, the most obvious change is that I’ve started working on the face and headdress. At this point, the basic shape of the headdress is in place, and I am ready to start working on the details.

I have also refined the filigree around the hips that was started in the previous step, and also added more filigree detail around the torso using the same method.

In addition, I’ve also refined the details of the ’spine‘ and ‚claws‘ around her mid torso (if you remember the story called ‚The Taking‘ we posted back in June, you’ll know that this spine/claws/headdress is actually the real M’Dusa herself, inhabiting her human host like a parasite!). If you look at the rear view, You’ll see that the shape of the ’spine‘ has changed a lot since the previous WIPs – this is because I changed my mind on how I wanted it to look, and decided to make it slightly more mechanical rather than organic.
