By Fire and Sword bekommt per Kickstarter eine Erweiterung!
‚The Deluge‘ is the supplement to ‚By Fire and Sword‘ game, introducing three new armies and rules. Let the battle begins!
By Fire and Sword – a historical wargame is the name of a battle system developed by the Wargamer company. It is a realistic, playable and very dynamic wargame which recreates the wars fought by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Turkey, Muscovy, Sweden, Crimean Khanate and the Cossacks during the second part of 17th century. The premiere of the basic version of the game generated much interest and we were able to achieve great success at Kickstarter. The project reached its funding goal in four days and ended up being funded for 1648%!

Encouraged by the success and positive player opinions we decided to use Kickstarter once more in order to finance the first large By Fire and Sword supplement: The Deluge: Northern War 1655-1660. Main aim is to gather funds to publish Polish version of the supplement (which is almost ready) and finish work on English version so it can be published as well. Hence some materials that we will show below are currently only in Polish.
Insgesamt soll es in The Deluge um drei neue Armeen gehen:
Transylvania: The army of prince Rákóczi, the ruler of Transylvania is coming from the South. Fast cavalry units are raiding Polish lands and the main forces of the prince are marching to meet their Swedish allies.
The Holy Roman Empire: The soldiers of this army have some old grudges to settle with the Swedes, defeats of the Thirty Years War are still fresh in their memory. Led by experienced generals, the imperial cuirassiers, knechts and dragoons come to aid the Commonwealth and Denmark.
Brandenburg: the Great Elector is playing a tricky political game by maneuvering between the warring parties. The Brandenburg-Prussian army is gathering precious experience on the battlefields of Poland, Prussia and Denmark.

Der Kickstarter hat sein Ziel bereits erreicht und läuft noch 38 Tage.
Ich kann das Spiel nur wärmsten empfehlen. Meiner Meinung nach eins der besten auf dem Markt im Moment.
Dem schliesse ich mich voll und ganz an.
Das Regelbuch ist ein wahrer Schatz – man merkt wieviel da reingesteckt wurde und die Bilder von Reenactment-Truppen anstelle von Zeichnungen zaubern nochmal eine ganz spezielle Atmosphere.
Ganz nebenbei: Merci für’s News-Aufgreifen – da muss ich mich wohl an ein By-Fire-and-Sword Review machen. 😉
Das Regelbuch sieht echt gut aus. Für welchen Maßstab ist das denn gedacht? Von den Minis her siehts so um die 15-20mm aus, bin wohl grade zu blöde die entsprechende Angabe zu finden.
Ausgelegt ist das auf 15mm-Figuren. So steht es zumindest in den Quickstartregeln, die ich als PDF hier habe.
Das Spiel ist für 15mm gedacht. Es verfügt über zwei Eskalationsebenen, Skirmish und Divisionslevel. Skirmish kann man sicher auch in 28mm spielen. Bei der Division kann ich mir das nicht mehr vorstellen. Meine Division hat z.B. über 300 Reiter. Das in 28mm und dann 2x, dafür sind die meisten Spieltische zu klein.
Die Hauseigenen Figuren sind aber 15mm, oder besser gesagt, 18mm.
Ah dachte doch das die zu klein für 28mm aussehn und zu groß für 15mm
Und diesmal bin ich beim KS auch mit dabei 😀
Naja 15mm…1:100 sind die Figuren halt. Genau wie Flames of War.
