Kickstarter: Red Box Games
Und noch eine Crowdfounding Kampagne.
Es geht darum neue Miniaturen produzieren zu können und die eigene Werkstatt auszubauen.

The Plan………
It is my plan to use the money earned in this kickstarter campaign to first pay for the production costs of all new product funded throughout this kickstarter effort and to deliver on the rewards selected by backers, and second to buy the equipment and materials to cast my figures in metal in house. Any further funds will be used in the effort of having older molds replaced with new molds ( made by the BEST mold makers in the industry! ) and also in the development of the RBG fantasy campaign setting and rules book that I have been wanting to develop for years. The major hurtles I have had to surmount over the years of operating Red Box Games has been the expense and logistics of contract casting. I have had the privilege of working with some of the most talented mold makers and casters in the business and my metal product has always had the reputation for very high quality as a result of the working relationships that I have built over the years. Now I feel that it is time to move my business forward in a positive direction by building my own in house casting operations. This will allow me to better manage my costs of manufacturing and will also allow me to more closely maintain the logistics of the operation insuring faster delivery times and constant, reliably maintained stock levels in every part offered in the store. Despite the premise of my first kickstarter effort I have learned that the best way to manage the costs of this kind of business is to use metal and to handle as much of the production myself as is humanly possible.
AS always I thank everyone for their continued support and interest in the growth of the Red Box Games fantasy miniatures line. It is a dream come true to do what I do and the ultimate joy to see my work enjoyed by so many people. Thank you all. You are all dearly appreciated.

Mmmh, sehr gemischte Gefühle. Ich hab beim 1. Kickstarter mitgemacht und nach wie vor streckt sich das ganze hin. Bislang hat kaum wer seine Minis. Da jetzt schon den nächsten nachzuschieben…hätte er bis Mitte-Ende 2013 gewartet hätte ich wohl wieder mitgemacht. So ist das ganze aber noch etwas daneben.
Ach der erste läuft noch.Finde seine Minis sehr schick sind aber auch ziemlich Filigran(für mich)und vieles was ich haben wollte war nicht Lieferbar(über Anbieter in Deutschland)was ich recht Schade fand.
Ich liebe Tres Miniaturen. Im Fantasy-Bereich gehören seine Miniaturen qualitativ und detailtechnisch zu dem Besten, was ich bisher anmalen durfte. Aber mein großes Problem mit Tre ist seine absolute Unfähigkeit zu organisieren, planen und vernünftige Entscheidungen zu treffen. Da ist ein Modellierer mit Talent, Fantasie und Motivation, aber seine Geschäftsentscheidungen lassen mich jedes Mal mit Kopfschütteln zurück.
In dem Fall musste er wohl den Kickstarter so früh starten, da in diesem Sommer die großen Fische der Branche riesige Kickstarter geplant haben und er Angst hat, dass diese ihm das Wasser abgraben. Er benötigt halt die Summe um seine Werkstatt im Haus aufzubauen und die ‚in-house‘ Produktion wieder zu starten.
Ich wünsche ihm, dass er es schafft. Ich bin in jedem Fall dabei. Ich möchte noch viele Püppchen von ihm über den Tisch schubsen dürfen.
Die Minis sind echt genial. Leider habe ich keinen rechten Verwendungszweck dafür, zumal ich schon einiges Kapital an Kickstarter gebunden habe.
By the way: Welche grossen Hersteller planen Kickstarter für den Sommer? Gibts da schon Infos oder sind es nur Vermutungen?
Mantic hat garantiert wieder was in Vorbereitung, bei Studio McVey die Erweiterung zu Sedition Wars, CMON wird einiges an den Start bringen, Shadowrun Tabletop ebenfalls.
Wie lange wird es eurer Meinung nach dauern bis die Miniaturen „Normal“ erhältlich sind?
Hätte sehr großes Interesse an dem Aenglish Fußvolk.
Die sollte es schon normal geben. Zumindest waren die schon mal erhältlich.
Dieses große ominöse unbekannte Versandkosten halten mich von der Teilnahme ab.
Aber der Miniaturenpreis von 105 USD für 5 Pledges ist zwar insgesamt i.O., 82 Euro für bis zu 40 Modelle. Aber da fehlt mir auch so ein bisschen das gewisse etwas.
Wieviele Modelle willst du denn kaufen, um auf solche hohen Versandkosten zu kommen? Bis 200 Modelle ist es doch gerade mal grob angesetzt auf $35-40 Versand, was an sich ja schon ne stattliche Anzahl an Minis ist, oder hab ich was übersehen?
Nee die Preise beziehen sich auf die Modelle nicht deren Versand. Etwas ungünstig formuliert.

Ich finde die Preise insgesamt sehr fair, einzig der Orc Rank mit nur vier Modellen erscheint mir etwas schmal. Dafür sehen die ersten Greens der Orcs umso geiler aus!
Wo kann man denn die schon erschienen Minis bekommen? Ich such schon seit ner halben Ewigkeit nach „Yrsa the accursed“ (neue Version) aber nichtmal er selbst(!) hat die in seinem Shop. Wär echt für jeden Tipp dankbar.
