Covenant Commando Sections are often accompanied by specialist teams carrying portable Heavy Radiant-Energy Guns, even larger and more devastating pieces of equipment than the weapons carried by the formidable Iron Men.

Aided by their target spotter, elite Commando gunners can achieve pinpoint accuracy across incredible ranges. Even the heaviest infantry armour is little defence against energy blasts from the HREG ‘Glaive’ Mk II, coherent beams sloughing through cloth or steel with almost equal ease.

True to the ethos employed by the Covenant military as a whole, these deadly weapons are light and compact enough for rapid redeployment. This allows the Commando teams who operate them to ensure that they are always in the right place at the right time – perfectly positioned to deliver a lethal strike to the fulcrum of the opposing force.
