Dark Age: Apocalypse Cover enthüllt

Dark Age Games haben die Cover der Bücher und einige weitere Details zu Apocalypse enthüllt.

The book will officially go to print in less than one week. We expect a late Dec/early Jan timeframe for it’s release, we’ll know more when we start working with the printer.

Also inconjunction with the release of the new books will come new cards. The new cards will be available as a free download, we are also talking to the folks at Superior POD to have card sets made available through them. Any new miniatures will come with a special insert for the blisters that will have the dual purpose of product display and playable card, you will have to trim them a little to fit in normal card sleeves. The cards from Superior POD will be just like regular playing cards with nice rounded corners, they will be no frills cards, the intent is to make them look nice and most importantly READABLE. Art and pics will be nign non-existant. At the most the DA logo on the back, and the faction symbol on the front along with the unit’s stats. The card sets will be faction related and allow for at least 1000 point builds. For the Brood, Dragyri, Skarrd, and Johann we will include cards for the Bio-gens, Foci, Psychogenics, and graftings.

Now more info to the book, we received our quote and we mulled over our options, for the price we are paying and amount of books the first printing will be it made too much sense to make BOTH books hard cover. We also decided to make both sold separately. Before I go onto the pricing and some more info here’s a look at the covers of the books:

The page count has stayed the same for each book 80 pgs for the rulebook, 360 pgs for the forcelist book. Both will be full color and hardcover. You have seen the pages of the books, and when we say full color, we mean full color. No glaring empty spaces or white backgrounds, with plently of Brom’s artwork you come to love plus a lot of new art from the plethora of Dark Age artist staples.

The Rules book will be $19.99, the Forcelist book will be $39.99, a little on the pricey side, yes I know, but that’s two books 440 pages full color for $60. We will also have the books available as digital downloads. We need to work out the particulars but if you buy the two books from CMON, the digital download of both books will be free. Otherwise we will offer bundles, this will be worked out down the road.
