Dark Angels Legion Praetor in Cataphractii Terminator Armour – 33,00 Euro

Dark Angels Legion Contemptor Dreadnought – 48,00 Euro
The Contemptor Dreadnoughts of the Legiones Astartes enabled the mortally injured warriors interred within them to continue to serve their Legions during the Great Crusade, and many fought at the forefront of some of the bloodiest and fiercest battles of the Horus Heresy. A large number were destroyed during those dark times, but some survived and are still in service in the Space Marine Chapters and Chaos Space Marine warbands of the 41st Millennium. This Contemptor Dreadnought bears the knightly heraldry and iconography of the Dark Angels.
The Dark Angels were proud of their status as the First Legion, and this dreadnought is lavishly decorated with iconography and symbols proclaiming their might. The barrel-chested torso is dominated by a massive pair of angel wings, with a choice of either a sword or Dark Angels icon in the center. The left knee is sculpted with a lion rampant brandishing a sword, whilst the sarcophagus features peaked arches and candles to lend a fittingly baroque look. Available to both Warhammer 40,000 and The Horus Heresy armies, the Dark Angels Contemptor has been designed to match the gothic aesthetic of this most mysterious brotherhood in either setting.

Soll denn die Ikonographie schon im Bruderkrieg so düster gewesen sein? Dachte irgendwie die Kutten und all das sei erst nach Luthor’s Verrat gekommen.
Wenn ich das richtig weiß war das schon im Kreuzzug so, nachdem Lion el Johnson die ganzen Einflüsse seines Ordens in die Legion mit eingebracht hat.
Schlüssel und Weihrauch macht mMn zu der Zeit keinen Sinn. Kann mich nicht erinnern, das in den ersten Büchern über die Zeit was darüber stand. Rittertum ja. Der Schlüsselkram ( Geheimniswächter etc.) kam erst nach dem Verrat, oder täusche ich mich. Bin ja beim letzten Mal hier ja auch angeeckt, als ich schrieb das hat an Primaris nix zu suchen.

Schlüssel und Geheimniskrämerei waren nach der Vereinigung Lions mit der 1. Legion Teil der Dark Angels.
Die Horus Heresy Bücher von Forge World sprechen von geheimen Symbolen und „layers of meaning“ deren Bedeutung nur bestimmten Individuen bekannt ist.
Das sind so Probleme mit Retconning und Erweiterungen.
Klar, die heißen nicht umsonst Dark Angels. Hatte zu Zeiten des Codexes Engel des Todes und dem ersten Codex Chaos (weil Cypher dort eingeführt wurde und die Verratsgeschichte Luthors enthalten war) den Eindruck gehabt, erst nach dem Bruderkrieg wurden sie zur Legion der Sühne und hätten dann erst die stark tiefgotisch angehauchte Ästhetik angenommen (Kutten etc). Ein äußerer Spiegel ihrer inneren Geheimhaltung dieses Teils ihrer Vergangenheit. Die ganzen Horus-Heresy-Sachen kamen ja viel später und mir scheint dort wurde einiges gedreht, damit die „älteren“ Minis auch diese Acessoirs haben können (habe null HH gelesen und für fand es immer viel stimmungsvoller als diese Zeiten nebulös gehalten wurden statt minutiös ausgeleuchtet zu werden).
Egal. Hab ich was gelernt.

Schöne Modelle. Zwar etwas teuer (FW halt) aber die fangen den Charakter der Dark Angels gut ein (hier orientierten sich die Designer offenbar stark am Artwork von Astelan)
Außerdem ist es ja auch mal eine kleine Sensation wenn FW mal was komplett eigenes zu Dark Angels macht *g*
